Been in a Cave, Didn't Know About Forums

I guess with working, training, eating, sleeping, competing, family life, I somehow didn't know about bodybuilding forums. Now that I do, I see there are so many, and hundreds of thousands of people using them, I feel like, "Where was I"?

I joined one of the others, I don't know if I should mention the name (maybe the biggest, most popular) and had a bad experience. I happened to mention how I break my protein consumption into several small meals a day spread apart by a few hours, which I thought was pretty common knowledge. But 10 or so guys jumped all over me saying it was "broscience," that I didn't know what I was talking about, that you can eat all your day's protein in one meal, that they wanted to see a PhD. study before they would believe what I said, even that I should get lost!

WHAT?!?!?

I wonder if they know that you have to lift weights to grow muscle, or do they need a PhD study before they believe that, too.

I decided there was nothing of value at that site and left for good. Decided I hadn't been missing much not knowing about forums.

But then I came across this site and read several threads in the nutrition part where everybody does what I do regarding protein intake. So the level of intelligence and experience seems much higher on this site! Maybe here I can actually learn something (and maybe teach a few things, too, as I've been pretty successful at bodybuilding.)

So I say hello to everyone here!

Hello and welcome. You'll notice a lot of knowledge and experience amongst the people here. The site owner, liftsiron, is one of the most knowledgable people on these forums, as well as bass killer who is a legend on the forums :)

We are mostly old, I mean experienced, men at this site. So welcome to a great site.

Hello Muscle Man and welcome to peak muscle. Your intro made me laugh. We are a pretty solid and friendly group here, smaller and close knit.

Please make yourself at home.

Please read all threads about ozzy before you get too close to him.

welcome to Peak muscle.. your avatar looks very familar
I'm sure it does, basskiller, cause in the past few days I've joined every site I've found that you run, or administer, or whatever you call it. In fact, I just sent you a PM on one of your other sites.

I have a Ph. D and I can tell you from personal experience that spreading your protein throughout the day helps a lot and that lifting hard and heavy with a pair of animals helps even more. I can also tell you that cookies are an awesome bulk food but only for 4 weeks.

Welcome to Peak-Muscle, brother, good to have you here. No worries about mentioning BB.com;)

Honostly, this is a great site to kick around on, and many of us would definately love to hear your experiences as well. I'm sure you have a lot to offer, just from your own trial and errors.

You may get people who disagree here time to time, which is good for debate, but no worries on anybody being disrespectful to ya as a result of that.

Have fun, and nice seeing ya here:)

This makes me feel real good -- at least two of you knew it was bb.com without my saying so, and you both agree with my assessment of it. "Full of tools" -- HAH -- great way to put it.

Thanks for the welcome; I'm sure this one is exponentially better than bb.com!
