The Dark Tower.

I read The Gunslinger about 12 years ago, I love the books but have only read the first 4. I waited for that 4th one forever and was shitfaced-happy when I heard he was going to write them again.

I also really like The Talisman, which now has a second book The Black Hotel, which I have not yet read. I have read The Talisman 3 times, Gunslinger probably 4 times, the 2nd books 3 times, and the 4th one once.

I have lost count some time ago but I have about 3 feet worth of his books.

I liked the talisman to, The fifth gunslinger book is out in soft cover and the last two have been released in hard cover. Is it the Black Hotel or Black House? I just purchased the Black House by Straub and King.
 
Must be House then, it was a Straub and King collaberation. The Talisman being the first, are there 3 in the series or just two? Anywho, I liked the book as well, and the worlds collide somewhat because I do believe the Black House (which was a hotel in CA IIRC), or I thought, it was in the Gunslinger somehow. King is like that a lot with his books, but its been years...

I think a thrid is either coming or has already been published? The dark tower series is linking all of Kings books together.
