Fish oils?

Does anyone take fish oils, as a supplement for your joints. Does it help at all?
 
i take it to get EFAs havent noticed anything positive with my joints yet.. actually my shoulder feels worse lately
 
Yes, I take 3,000mg am and another 3,000mg pm, have been for years and I can say that it has had a positive effect on my joints. ALso, it is so damn cheap, get 400/1,000mg capsules at Costco for like 8bucks, so why not.

How long did it take before you noticed any effects on your joints? Roughly.
 
after my pwo carb meal i put down two meals that are only protein/fat. It can either be salmon or chicken/white fish + a dozen fish oil pills.

Hmm for joints>?....I dont know i use the for Cardiac/Cholesterol issues....i have high cholesterol among other things....um yeh not sure about the joint thing,im thinking Gluco,Choindr,,,would be more beneficial....then again what do i know,,,im a moron.........Z
 
Fish oil is the gold standard reducing joint inflammation by brute force of its EPA, and the only reason I don't use it on as regular basis is the cost factor. Lately I've been taking the capsules just like BSD, 3000 am and 3000 pm. I prefer the bottled fish oil, but the cost difference is insane.

yes sir, it is the best fat source I have came across so far. Besides salmon and fish oil pills, where do you get your fat from? PB and other nuts are ok, but omega6 is inferior to the 3's imo.

i eat whole omega 3 eggs ,olive oil, primorose oil, fish oils, natty pb ,2 oz of almonds daily.


p.s salmon is gay.

Same here with some low glycemic high fiber/ low glycemic greens/veggies.

For what it's worth, adding Sesamin to your Fish oil intake will impart a very nice syngergistic effect (PPAR-agonistic fat burining/loss, repartitioning, anti-inflammatory, improved skin, etc).

Been using the combo for ~3-4 years.

EFA's from supps and diet are a huge part of my bodybuilding life for a whole host of invaluable reasons including butnot limited to optimal health and metabolic advantages. I've said it since I've joined these boards - fish oils and/or at the veryleast, EFA's (flax, etc)should be a staple for all bodybuilders no matter what genotype, phenotype or genetic make-up or disposition - the reasons are endless.

p.s I am gay.

each pill is 1gram, so 12gms for that specific meal.

omega 3 eggs have like 200mg in them per yolk and they are about 3x more $ than regular eggs.

olive oil, prim oil, natty pb, and almonds are all good sources of omega 6 just not omega 3.
 
that why i 2 of my meals are 5 whole OMEGA 3 EGGS + 5 eggwhites of regular eggs.

i consume 117-120g of essential fats daily
 
who cares about the price..i rather eat it plus i also take 3 -1000mg of fish oils. throughout the day
 
more than enough..the results speak for themselves..go chocke on a bottle of fish oils, u prick..lol

you take 65 pills of fish oils daily and thats cool. I only take 3g and other sources of essential fats..no debate
 
The anti-inflammatory in fish oils is actually DHA. Check your label and have enough to get at least a few grams of DHA every day. I noticed a big difference in my joints when I started this. Worth a shot!
