Keep your head up IG! You helped me out before when i was down, ...remember we all go through down times. Things will get better, get back in the gym slowly and it WILL come back to you.

As far as the motivation being low - trust me I can relate to that... I've been having a lot of "outside the gym" issues in the past few months and it really hurts things. Like everyone has been saying - maybe it is good to take a step back and come back into things slowly ... then everything will be as it should be again ;)

Cardio this morning.....30 minutes on stepper, 20 minutes on treadmill

For the next little while until I drop at least 10 lbs, I am taking 400 mg caffeine, 32 mg ephedrine and 3 caps of WaterTight prior to cardio. And holy shit, I sweat buckets this morning- I'm sure the regulars must have been thinking "what the hell is wrong with her?" LOL

As I was walking, I was thinking about the music I was listening to...I have quite an eclectic mix on the go, from Linkin Park, Madonna, Marilyn Manson, Big and Rich, Kayne West, Hiliary Duff..LOL..I am not a country fan, but I do like a few songs. "Save a horse, ride a Cowboy" by Big and Rich cracks me up!!! And the music is kinda sexy ;) And for the record, I do not listen to Hiliary Duff, but some songs are just good for cardio :D

I will train later this evening and get back into my routine.....it's been about a month since I have been in any routine. I am sticking with the last split I was doing....

Mon- chest and abs
Tues- back and traps
Wed- off
Thurs- shoulders and arms
Fri- legs
Sat- off
Sun- off
repeat

I may go back to DC in a couple of months, depending on how things go
 
IG... I'm sorry to say - Hilary Duff's music is not good for ANYTHING! I'm afraid I cannot continue to read your journal now after seeing that. It has been fun, but I just can't do it anyore. Sorry.

I think you would do great if you went back to DC and worked with InHuman - he'll get you to that next level that you're trying to get your upper body to. I'm really happy with what I've seen so far.

Oh, if I only had money..lol..I am soooo broke, I can't afford to hire IH. He probably wouldn't work with me anyway. I mean DC turned me down, and the more I thought about that, the more I figure he just said what he did cause he didn't think I was worth it. So I'll have to plod along on my own and do the best that I can.

I am not holding out much hope that there will be any big changes- and I am NOT being negative, just realistic. I mean really, think about it. #1- I'm a girl :D #2- I am natural #3- I'll be 40 in a few months :scared: #4- I cannot eat TOO huge cause I put on waaaay to much bodyfat and I would never get down to any dececnt size to compete. So, my gains will be minimal...very minimal. I am trying to work on toning down the bottom half- which is very difficult too. So, anyway, I'll do my best :) As much as I fucking HATE the very thought of it, I am going to increase my reps for legs to 30-40 reps with very low weight. I even hated typing that!!! My legs did respond better to low weight and high reps last time around, so I figure that upping the reps can only be a good thing. I need leanness, not size, in that department. Blah, blah, blah....LOL....

LOL....interesting that it's the thing the 2 of you got from my writings today...geez. I think you both have a secret thing for Hiliary Duff. Just goes to show ya that having big boobs gets you more attention ;)
 
IG - Dante is very selective on who he takes, I wouldn't take it personally... InHuman himself is over 40, so I'm pretty sure that age wouldn't be an issue. You are obviously a good bodybuilder, so the "woman" thing wouldn't be an issue... the bodyfat thing - mine was higher than what he normally likes to start people at, and with all of the massive eating I have actually lost bodyfat while still gaining weight! As far as "being natural" being a problem - I'm drug free, I'm doing great on the program! Did I forget anything? Oh yeah - the cost... it really isn't THAT much if you look at it in terms of a multi-month/year investment.

Oh and Hillary Duff - she's cute, but as soon as she opens her mouth I want to kick her. Boobs got nothing to do with it... at least for me ;)

And what I meant by being a "woman" is my lack of testosterone...LOL...in other words, I just cannot build muscle like a guy. And you can only grow so much naturally, ya know ;)

I think a lot of trainers out there probably place judgement on being natural and being a competitor. Its a headache training a competitor sometimes, if they dont win who do they blame?? Hell I know I'd be the first to blame someone that I lost...... :D Id' rather train my damn self anyway. At the end of the day I'M the one that is up on the stage, and damn it there is no "TEAM" in "I". ;)

I do believe trainers/nutritionist are big helps. After competing a few times I can get myself in shape....
 
I need someone to help me with the nutrition part of it. The training I can do myself. I mean, that part is not rocket science really. I'll be sticking with what I am doing now. But I will be telling my prep guy that I want, and will, be leaner this time around.

Nice looking workout. I hate it when you get your weight set up and do your set then finding out the weight was wrong... I have my training partner double check my "gym math" all the time now so we have less mistakes ;) LOL!

Ok, I had a dream last night that I was in a BB competition, only it was on skates, and you had to skate (obviously) but do BB poses as you did, and I never actually practiced on skates, and my music got fucked up and I had to pose/skate/dance to a different song, and the judge was a bitch and I came in last.......ROTFLMFAO.......oh, and it took place on some kind of old ship, like a tanker type ship :D

Anyone care to analyze that??...LOL...

Took yesterday off cause I worked all night and had to stay up all day, so I was a victim :)

Cardio this morning x 45 minutes. 20 on stepper, 25 on treadmill.

Since I trained back on Monday, I am really sore!! And my lower back is extremely stiff and feels "unstable". The least little movement sometimes causes it to "catch". I don't know how else to describe it. But it just so happens that I have a scheduled massage appt for today- yay!!
 
I'm sure that will help out. Sometimes after a heavy day on back mine feels like that too. Mostly due to deadlifting.

Well, the first thing I did this morning when I stepped outside, was slip on the ice and fall on my back on the steps. Sweet :( I wasn't hurt though thank God.

I actually trained at 6:30 this morning. My knees hurt too much from doing legs yesterday, and I wanted to get my training in and couldn't do it later, so.....lifting that hour in the morning sucks :D

I am having second thoughts about what show I am going to do this year. Was going to do the World Qualifier in August, but I dunno. I have to travel halfway across the country, and I don't know if I am good enough to be there. And for what? Not like I am gonna be a pro or anything..LMAO..I might jus do one of the local shows. We'll see what happens.
