Best anti-virus, spyware and firewall? ...and maybe free. ;)

Any other programs you use that you just love and why?

i personally like the norton by symantec little high on the $$$ but well worth it
 
Yeah I have Norton Internet Security but am not liking it anymore. Gums up my system. Somewhat buggy.
 
I have mcafee, ccleaner, window washer, registry mechanic, system mechanic, spybot, tweak ui, counterspy, eveidence eliminator, steganos, and they were all FREE! my pc runs like new with the cpu usage idling at about 1-3% Ill PM ya future and give ya the low-down.........or I mean.....Ill help you out.
 
Well, ran Spy Bot...found alot of old crap that Microsoft and Norton should have gotten. It's running much faster now.
 
I went to www.download.com and bought PC-ILLIN by Trend Micro and it has a firewall and anti-virus in one. So far it works awesome and I got it when it was only aroudn 30bucks.

clean your temporary internet files, go to internet options; click delete offline content, delete cookies. disk cleanup, defrag HD and try to get ccleaner. Those will help cleanup everything. as well as window washer. I guess really some things programs miss and ya gotta use another one to get what was left. thats why I have so many. norton and mcafee from what I have seen, just prevent more, primarily viruses.
 
Actually I have the full version of Window Washer and it still wsnt getting everything.
 
yea, ya just gotta use a few different ones. ccleaner is one of the best IMO. All I can say is I use all the ones I listed and have little or no problems.

im starting to hate norton too, i think i wanna look into mccaffee since my free subscription is almost up with norton....
 
I was thinkin the same thing about my mcafee. I updated it and it didnt find anything, but maybe I was all clean. I did have a virus on my PC at one time that mcafee could not remove. I had to manually remove it myself.
 
Right now my system is smoking. Norton and Microsoft Antispyware was really slowing stuff down. Everything seems alot more stable as well.
