Well thanks so much everyone!!! I can't believe I'm almost there, and yet I can't wait for it to be over with!!

Cardio this am x 55 minutes. And I only managed 35 this evening- my blood sugar bottomed out AGAIN!! It was horrible I have to say. 6 more days of cardio- that's all I gotta make it through..lol..

Cardio this morning x 60 min. Walked outside. Called into work and got the day of!!!! Hopefully I'll get tomorrow too. Then I am off until the 24th. Lots of time to recuperate afer the show.

I'll get to train now later today- yay!!

I went to bed early last night and I must say I am feeling like a new woman this morning!!
 
I had a nice relaxing day today. I did very little else other than train :)

Incline DB press....35 x 12/10/8

Shoulder press (smith)....50 lbs on the bar x 8/3/2

Tricep pushdowns....45 x 15/12/10

Reverse grip pulldowns....105 x 12/6/6

Rack deads....180 x 4/5

I know I am not following DC to the letter...I have been doing some of the same exercises over and over, and throwing ina few different ones from time to time, like tonight. The chest and triceps exercises aren't my usual ones.

I love doing the rack deads BUT my grip in my left hand just completely gives out. I could do twice as many reps with that weight, but I can't hold onto it :( Looks like I have grip work to do after the comp is over.

My energy in the gym this evening was awesome- I felt really good. Now I have to go work on my posing/routine.

Did my cardio this am- walked outside. It was chilly out there this morning, but nice for walking. And I called into work and got the day off again!! YAY!! I don't go back to work now until the 24th. I can relax for a week after the show. I did drop up there this morning and weighed myself...145.2!! I am stoked!! I weighed in at 147 at the August show. Once I get my water out, I should come in at the same weight or even lighter than last year (I was 139). Cool :) Will do cardio again this evening. And lots of posing today- I didn't do any yesterday like I said I would.
 
Looks good irongirl! Your workout looks good especially for being less than a week pre-competition! You should check out the Dogg Pound section over on IM - they have a thread on the changes to make to the program when following it pre-comp.
As far as your grip on rack deads - get yourself some wrist straps girl! No reason not to use them on your heavy sets, if your grip is failing before your back you aren't gonna gain as much... not that you seem to have any problems, your back is awesome.

And I do have wrist straps...I get an extra rep or two because of them.

And just for the hell of it, these were taken this morning. I'm not overly impressed :( for being less than a week out.

I AM getting excited I must say!! I can't believe it's almost over- wow.

You dont need to. Make the lifting work for you. Take an idea and then make it yours.
 
You're looking good, I think part of it is the lighting - your thighs have better lighting in that pic and look great. The other pics are kind of washed out by the flash, don't let that discourage you! Get some color on you, and some oil - you're gonna look great.

future...that's good to hear. Sometimes I feel that the die hard DC'ers would jump all over me if I did something different. But I feel too that you can tweak it a little and make it your own. No harm in that.

As far as 'changing the program' - Once you've tried it the way it was written, I think most people would be OK with some tweaks... I personally try to follow it as written or based on the changes I got from IH, but it has been working for me that way. :D

Cardio this morning...60 minutes on the elliptical. Starting to feel pretty run down. I have the chills like I am coming down with something. Just pretty depleted I guess- par for the course. 5 more days :)

Just got my new posing suit in the mail- I'm afraid to go try it on..lol..if it doesn't fit I'll be pissed!!
 
Nice - I feel pretty run down after 30 minutes of cardio, and I'm NOT depleted - so you are doing great!

lol...ok, here ya go. The top is a little big, cause I have NO boobs, but otherwise it's good I think. The pics are not teh greatest- kinda blurry, but you get the idea.

Thanks Aaron...guess I'm doing pretty good considering the circumstances. I'm hoping that next year I won't have to do quite as much cardio :D
