umm that was my g/f who threw a bid up :(

bro I warned you about doing that! now you are going to have to pay final value fees, not a good thing, Ebay will snoop on IP addresses etc.......illegal but they will do it, I have had 2-3 accounts suspened permanently for shill bidding (bidding on your own items)

I was going to ask if he still had to pay the fees or only if the transaction was made. But I was thinking the same thing that they investigate the bids to see if they are valid.

once an auction ends he is responsible for ending fees. the worse thing is he had in his auction paypal only. here is the problem. Ebay owns paypal so they know whether or not he recieves payment. the only way to get his fees back is to file a non payment bidder alert against his GF account, and that puts a strike on her account, if she gets 3 she loses her ebay account

Yeah I'm sure ebay knows people do that and doesn't like it. Now his gf will have a mark against her that will make it harder for her to sell.

is that going to matter considering the name was made at school and she bidded on it at school??

I did everything else at home

Oh and I think I might be selling it to somebody on one of my cigar forums for 1250+shipping.

Wow Matt that would be a good deal if you can.

yeah it would that way I don't have to deal with the ebay fees

I still see the 60gb model is going for 1200-1500 if you sell them around 2-4:30pm

Matt I was just thinking the day of the week you have the auction end on might make a dfference. Yours ended on a monday that might be a bad day. Maybe have it end on a friday or saturday because people get paid it's the weekend so they're in a good mood and might be more apt to buy something like that. Just a theory that might be valid.
