anyone try any new energy supplements out on the market? I like the Redline RTD's but they are so dam expensive. Looking for something less expensive, yet affective :D

Venom hasn't effected me much, even tried taking two of them first thing in the morning.. still didn't feel different.

I think I signed up for y3blaze, for the free samples, I will tell you about that if I did sign up for it.

I like venom a LOT

Definitely Venom. Effect starts to wear off after a month or so... but I hear if you go off it for a while it works "like new" again.

GNC has some thermogenic stuff that I have been taking this week - works great. I'll be posting up a review of it in my suppliment review thread - I can't remember the name now.

I've got Y3 sitting here on my desk right now - it didn't do crap for me.

Redline liquid worked great, but made me really shaky.

Endorush from BSN is AWESOME for energy, but made me feel like my head and heart were going to explode - and the crash from it was BAD. I thought I was going to fall asleep while working on my patients!

(Doing my Aaron impression)

A Thermogenic causes a boost in your metabolism, raising your core temperature.

some common thermogenics are: Ephedra, Caffeine, and Ginger

What do you guys think about energy supplements for someone who has had heart surgery. My Sister-in-law had surgery about maybe 20 some odd years ago and has asked about them...mainly for when she gets tired.
She has mentioned she feels her heart is pounding and ever since that statement we do not allow her to even take a sip.
I know talking to a DR is best but to those of you who have some educational experience - whats your take on this?

So do they work in burning off fat?

Thermogenics? yes,
-BUT-

they're a supplement for to a good balanced exercise program and a good diet.

not a replacement

So when is good time to use them then? Pre workout?

Personally, I don't have much experience with them. I don't have any use for them. The best use for them is in helping to cut down for a competition/show.

since I don't compete, I haven't looked into them much, other than fanciful "gawd I wish leaning out was easier..." thoughts. (I may try Venom at some point, out of curiosity)

So its not really a long term type of fat loss, but more of a "help you to get as lean as possible before a comp"?

Yep, pretty much.

the only real long term fat loss solution is a good diet, and good exercise
