Stallone: HGH use is 'nothing'

Sylvester Stallone says he used human growth hormone to get buff for the new "Rambo" movie, and defends its use.

"HGH (human growth hormone) is nothing," the 61-year-old actor tells Time magazine in its Feb. 4 issue. "Anyone who calls it a steroid is grossly misinformed."

Because it is nearly undetectable, HGH has become a substance of great concern in major league baseball and other sports battling allegations of rampant doping.

"Testosterone to me is so important for a sense of well-being when you get older," he says. "Everyone over 40 years old would be wise to investigate it because it increases the quality of your life. Mark my words. In 10 years it will be over the counter."

Stallone directed and co-wrote the new "Rambo" movie, which arrived in theaters Friday.

Over the counter in 10 years ha wishful thinking... but you have to love Stallone
 
Wow I never thought i would see an article like that out in the public from an actor or anyone in the mainstream. Gotta love Stallone
 
Their saying fifty cent and many other rappers and actors are using roids and hgh including female stars.
Fifty Cent said when asked by the media "NO COMMENT"!!!!!!!
 
I think it is great he said that and corrected them for confusing them with steroids.

i wonder how they stay in shape traveling so much..and how they carry that with em
 
Sounds to me like he is admitting using test too, unless he is implying the growth increases test levels - which I don't think is the case. I'm glad he has the balls to tell it like it is, but I don't know how smart it is to admit to breaking the law to the news media.

he's not breaking the law u can get test and gh at a certain age. at those wellness clinics
 
he also acknowledges that testosterone injections are beneficial and basically pities the fool who doesn't take advantage of it, which I agree with. I think stallone in general is a penis, but this was a surprising and classy move on his part to make that statement.
 
I think Stallone is on to something here...Over the counter test....I'm in...
