like him or not he is a fascinating enigma....

one thing that caught my eye is that the wiki article bills him at over 5'11". I have been within a foot of tyson personally, and I am 5'9"... there is no way he is taller than that, I found it astonishing when I finally came face to face with him just how small he was, TV truly makes people look larger than life.

I dont care what anyone says, there is no way he is anywhere close to 6ft tall.

me personally, I am happy with the height I am, I consider it an ideal size to be able to put on size despite whatever bone structure you may have. I don't understand why people feel the need to lie and exxagerate their height... if anything I find it more impressive the feats that people accomplish at a smaller size and reach.

holyfield wants a rubbermatch with him, too bad he is 300+lbs right now

I watched a couple of his early fights live. People argue about who was the best heavyweight of all time, but no one EVER could stand against Mike Tyson in his prime. Watching him completely overpower an opponent and knock him out cold in about 2 minutes flat is something you had to see to believe. And he did it over and over until he went to prison and after he got out, his energy and strength never returned. After that he was a broken man. He was a shadow of his early self in the Holyfield fights. At the onset of his career he would have destroyed Holyfield or Lewis without breaking a sweat.

I don't believe this for a second. Lewis would have always kept him at bay with his jab then smashed him with rights.

Holyfield had an iron chin, will, and power. Remember he was considered over the hill and was coming off heart issues when he first destroyed Tyson. He was also coming off losses to Moorer and Bowe.
