Whatever happened to GOOD horror movies?

Seriously, I am sick and tired of these half assed horror flicks that are unoriginal with crappy special effects and illogical dialogue.

Anyone remember Event Horizon? THAT was a damn good horror movie. I saw The Strangers last night, the bulk of the movie was ok, but I thought the ending was bullshit and it really pissed me off.

theres still some rare good horror movies these days..it just kindof sucks that most of them are remakes. Some are good though. What is event horizon about? I keep hearing about it..heres my favorites..

Hellraiser 1 and 2 were good too, along with the first couple Nightmare on Elm st, Halloween and Friday the 13th movies. Childs play 1 & 2 were kick ass flicks as well.

finally saw nightmare on elm street the other day. I liked a new nightmare too. Theyre sposed to be doing remakes of friday the 13th & nightmare on elm street both pretty soon i guess
