Aahhh, the wood stove...

Chopped wood for 2 1/2 hours today. Bought this Fiskers axe and it is the shit. Split a bunch of Maple and Oak. Made a nice fire in the wood stove tonight with the screen over the opening. Man, the embers are so hot I can feel them glow on my face and I'm sitting 20 feet away.
Sweet, the girls loved it. For some reason they didn't attack each other tonight? Hmmm...

Here's a hectic one...started a fire in the wood stove last night and it smoked out the whole house, I'm still fuming.
How can it work so well two days in a row then totally fuck up?
I don't burn pine, just dry, split, hardwood.
