Moslely just took da fuck APART Margarito omg! Owned him from round 1 all the way...too fast...4-5 punch combos...BOMBS! Knocked Margarito down at the end of rd 8 with a wicked left hook and combo...finished him in early rd 9. Odds was 4-1 Margarito.lol I gotta admit this was a shocker to me...I thought Mosley would own him the first 4 rds as Margarito is always a slow starter...but figured Margarito would wear him down later like he always does with fighters. But he couldn't get off with his typical 120+ punches a round, coz Mosley was beating the fuck out of him.lol Crazy shit the fight game...oh yeah dig this...when inspecting the fighters hand wraps pre-fight, they found an illegal, hard substance in Margarito's wraps...like dried plaster of paris....they had to make him rewrap his hands 3 times.lol Makes ya wonder now if he did that in the Cotto fight..or for that matter...how MANY previous fights?

dude i was pretty shocked that happened
90% of people in the boxing community gave shane no chance at all

hell of a performance

Shane is a champion, in boxing noone is ever done.

his best performance ever imo, the KO was awesome. I am surprised they sent him out for the 9th.

did you happen to catch fedor-arlovski dph?

I did T and it was disappointing, exciting one punch ko but disappointing. Arlovvski was boxing well and got caught off of his feet and to close. Fedor hit him with the looping overhand right and that was it. $45.00 i would of liked to see a couple of rounds :)

yeah...wasnt worth the money....but yes...would like to see it gone a bit further....

wonder what the pay off was??

BTW, mosley-mayweather make it happen!

Dig it! I'll pay for the PPV on that one. Better yet, would love to see Mayweather & Pacqiuao fight at super-lighweight(140), but I can't see Mayweather coming down 7 lbs to fight him. Although Manny demolished Oscar at welterweight, he will need his top notch speed for Mayweather...better chance for him at 140. But I'm dreamin. lol :p

I saw it, and it was a suprising match imo....I knew Fedor would take him, but was a bit dissappointed at how Fedor came out....Andre had his for a while.....But all the best one's need is a split second mistake and BAM, its over....Did anyone see the WEC sunday night??? Some good mathces there including Faber Vs. Pulver 2.....

I saw the WEC
Pulver actually looked decent.....for the minute the fight lasted

I think floyd would toy with manny. Shane can match his best attributes but holds the power advantage. Floyd has much better defense.

Zab Judah had speed. And power. But no D. And Floyd exposed that. Shane is well KNOWN to have NOOO D...wasn't apparent against Margarito coz hes slow as shit.lol I think Floyd would pick Shane apart beacuse of that...but I would STILL pay to see it as Shane is fast and has power and if he COULD catch him who knows hehe. Manny fights from all angles...he has alot of head movement. He has killa speed and devastating power too at 140. I think Manny/Floyd is much better fight.

Zab has ZERO chin, that is his downfall. Plus he has mental lapses all throughout fights. Shane would clown zab way worse than Floyd did. Think a Kostya Tszyu rematch, lol.

Shane has a decent D, he just prefers to brawl. Nobody really knows what kind of chin Floyd has, and Shane would atleast test it.

Floyd would time Manny darting in and out, it would be quicker than the Hatton fight.

Varner-Cowboy was a pretty damn good fight. Next months card looks good on paper as well.

Best fight of the night imo.....By far.....Cowboy can take a beating and still be the aggressor.....You know Varnar was just thinking what the hell do i have to do???? That should be a great rematch......Cowboy can take him standing up, he just could not stop the take down....

Next months card will be good....I give it 5-6 months and Brown Vs. Faber 2......Cant wait....

MARGARITO AND TRAINER SUSPENDED
By Scott Shaffer

Past cases have resulted in jail time, lifetime suspensions

According to ESPN, Antonio Margarito and his trainer, Javier Capetillo, have been suspended by the California State Athletic Commission at least until a February 10th hearing on whether they tried to cheat by placing a "plaster-like substance" found on Margarito's hand wraps before he was stopped by Shane Mosley. The wraps were removed before Saturday's fight in Los Angeles. The California Commissio was quoted as saying, "the substance found in Margarito's hand wraps is currently being analyzed by the California Department of Justice. An investigation as to whether either licensee violated CSAC rules is ongoing." The scandal brings to mind boxer Luis Resto and trainer Panama Lewis who were suspended for life after Lewis removed the padding from Resto's gloves for amatch against Billy Collins in the early 1980s. Collins suffered a torn iris and permanently blurred vision, ending his boxing career, and he died nine months later, a possible suicide. Lewis and Resto were both found guilty and served over two years in jail. Lewis is known to illegally train boxers in Florida gyms but cannot work their corners.

^^^ And still got smoked......Hopefully it was not an intentional violation....Sounds pretty bad though....

Definitely fucked up. Like I said before, makes ya wonder if it happened before with him...maybe the Cotto fight too? Its shit like this that opens the door for speculation and can't be "undone". On the flipside, no amount of hand wraps will help the chin.lol And Margarito took a beating from Mosley AND Cotto...took their best shots from round 1...shots that woud have floored many early. Perhaps something in the water for the chin hehe..."no, get the OTHER bottle!" lol :p

Pacquiao-Mosley a possibility

Pacquiao-Mosley a possibility

Pacquiao-Mosley a possibility

A showdown between Manny Pacquiao and Shane Mosley is looking more and more likely if Pacquiao beats Ricky Hatton on May 2 in Las Vegas.

Mosley, coming off a tremendous performance against Antonio Margarito, is salivating over the possibility because of the attention and money it would generate. And Freddie Roach, Pacquiao?s trainer, told a Filipino website that he likes the fight.

It would probably take place around November if Pacquiao wins in May, which isn?t a sure thing.

Many experts believe that Pacquiao will have difficulty with Hatton?s strength and rough fighting style. At the same time, Hatton should have problems with Pacquiao?s speed, as the Englishman did against Floyd Mayweather Jr.

So who wins Pacquiao-Mosley if it happens?

No question: Mosley. Pacquiao has no advantage whatsoever over Mosley, except maybe age. And, remember, Mosley, 37, fought like he was in his 20s when he stopped Margarito on Jan. 24.

Mosley bench presses 300 pounds ? free weight. He?ll break Pacquiao in half. And Mosley is as quick as Pacquiao, eliminating the advantage the Filipino has over so many opponents.

OK, I also said De La Hoya would beat Pacquiao and we know happened there. This is different, though. A depleted De La Hoya couldn?t cope with Pacquiao?s speed. Mosley won?t have that problem.

Here are the fighters Mosley would like to face, in order of preference: Pacquiao, Floyd Mayweather Jr., Hatton (if he wins) and Miguel Cotto (in a rematch).

Right guys, let's get the voting done here, Hatton -v- Pacquiao, May 2nd 2009.

I think Hatton will win, Manny's never been hit with anyone who has the power of Hatton, in his fight with Malinaggi, he boxed smart, when Paulie fought Cotto, he beat him to the punch a lot but Cotto's power took it's toll. Hatton beat malinaggi to every punch and was hardly hit himself, there was an issue of speed before the fight but Hatton turned out to be the fastest. If Floyd Snr trains him for the Manny fight and he can box the same way, his power advantage will see him through. Yes, Manny is lightning quick but Hatton's only a year older and very fast as well as possesing a devastating left hook to the body, that would seriously slow Manny down.
When Hatton fought mayweather, he lost his rag and the ref was too finikity, he stopped Hatton getting into his stride, added to the fact that Floyd was too big for him on the night.

So here it is 1 for Hatton.

Oscar's left hook is 2x the shot of any single shot by Hatton.

I even think Marquez may have more single shot pop than Ricky.

Anyway, this fight will be ugly if they let Hatton hold.

I'm going with Manny TKO 10

Oscar's left hook WAS good, he's over the hill now. Hatton never held onto Malinaggi, he out boxed him using speed and accuracy - somethiing Malinaggi was famous for, Hatton basically beat him at his own game.
Don't get me wrong here, I think Manny is awesome, he retired Barrera & Morales but think back to UFC 94, GSP -v- Penn, BJ is an awesome 155 fighter but he couldn't cope with the bigger man, I see HAtton doing the same to Manny, just my opinion.

Please don't tell me you are comparing Pauly to the Pacman?!?!?

Pauly sucks bro, no power whatsoever to worry about in return. Hatton could bull in and do whatever he wanted. He cannot do that with Manny without paying a steep price.
