Ice skating great workout.

Took wife and 3 girls (my 2 daughter's and my daughter's friend) skating yesterday for 1 1/2 hours.
It was my youngest daughter's fourth birthday.
Wow, what a great workout.
I was circle-skating in between taking turns holding the 4 yr-old while she worked around the edge of the rink. That was her first time. She seemed to like it and did well.
The 8 year old did great and it was only her second time ever.
I skated and played hockey (pick-up) for years and it brought back some long-unused skills. Interesting what muscles are sore today. I think this should be a regular week-end family event. It was a great aerobic workout for me, especially because I was moving quite fast, but with the safety of the other's on the rink in mind.
 
I used to ice skate a bit when I was into hockey.. I had to run into someone/something to stop though lol
 
They just held the World Cup in my town.

Damn, after seeing his giant thighs on the cover of Time Magazine back (I think) in the early 1980's is when I decided I wanted big thighs and went for the quest of heavy squats, only got to 465 for 7 though, but at 6" with a lean-built body at 212LBS,, I wouldn't say that was too shabby.
 
Yeah he was something else, you should see the thighs and ass on some of the female speed skaters that train up here. Strong upper bodies to. The female ski team members are the same way.

I love to ice skate I have a pretty dope peter pan outfit that I don't skate without.

Yes, it is fantastic for the upper thigh areas and calves. Even inline skating is good. Got to get them out of the closet and start doing it again. What i really like that is killer for thigh area is water skiing. If you havent done it in a while try it and the next day you will feel it for sure!
