Gday everyone I'm fresh to this forum.
How is everyone doing today? I love it here! I am hoping to learn a lot hopefully even make some new friends! :)

The following is the same generic profile data used by over 50% of the spammers:

Biography:
Man

Location:
Canada

Interests:
ariploria

Occupation:
Canada

Some have USA in both location and occupation, but it's installed in both places the same. The username is automatically installed as "interests." Basskiller pointed this out a while back.
 
It's a bot at first with alot of these, Then once a few days have past without them being banned.. A real person will log on and then spam in one of several ways..

It's to the point where I can look at a profile and tell 98% of the time if they are a spammer.. The other 2% usually are sneaky enough to get by me.

Just so you guys know that what I say is the truth.. take this person's email address and plug it into a google search and you tell us what you find

I was about to welcome our new Canadian member ... when I noticed that he was banned already :sulk:
 
Just realize another thing.. If any member subscribes to a given thread and a spammer posts his bullshit in that thread..It gets sent by the site a copy of what the spammer posted to the subscriber's email..

So this is just another reason why we as mods have to try and get these spammers before they even have a chance to post a bunch of spammer type links..
