best night in a long time

a lot of you guys dont know this but i have been working 12's at night and havent seen the family much the past 4 weeks so last night little Oz starts to cry in his bedroom, keep in mind his like 2 and a half, so get up so the wife can sleep and all he wanted was daddy

we have a rocking chair in his room from when he was a baby, so i pick him up and just rock him and sing the only song i know all the words to---chestnuts roasting on an open fire--ya the christmas song

he has his little head on my shoulder and starts sing in my ear and eventually falls asleep--i just wanted to hold him forever and not lay him back in his bed

thats a good ass night
 
Damn right bro,That's good stuff right there!! I miss mine being that little.. Nothing like a child!! I'm happy for you dude!!

Stuff bro. I'm still to young for kids but I can tell that it would be awesome. Too bad My neice hates me hehe

Enjoy these things as often as you can because before you know it little Oz will be big Oz.

oh it makes my heart ache to think about him growing up! i remember like it was yesterday the 40 hours of labor, the first drive home with him, the first time he said love you daddy and kissed my cheek

Cherish the moments bro.... they grow up way to quick.
 
ive gotta a house full of em and still want more. cherish every moment because there will come a day they dont want a damn thing to do with you. the moments you have mentioned are my absolute favorite in life. there is just simply nothing better.

I'm really happy for ya and thats a great story specially since the little guy is awesome. now my test levels are lower after reading that though guess ill just throw in the notebook and skip the gym. he wont be little for long, soon as he can do cleans he'll be training... he'll be only kid in 2nd grade with traps.

as you can tell i dont have kids.
 
Great post Ozzy! I know just how you feel. Sarah's first word was "daddy."

We were best friends until age 12 when she got boy crazy! :D
 
I know the feeeling Ozzy.
With both my girls it was the same, they came out, the nurses grabbed them and did their thing, I cut the cord on both, and after they got cleaned up and wrapped up, they started to cry. From nurse to mom to nurse they both cried on (they are 5 years apart) finally, both times, I said, "Here, give the child to me!"

They did, and both girls stopped crying within a few moments, as I cuddled them while humming a soft tune and murmurring sounds with my deep velvety voice. I made sure they could hear/feel the sounds resonating through my rib-cage. It calmed both of them down, then I gave them to their mother, and they've been crying like hell ever since!!! ARGGhhh!

that kid of mine sure likes you---i figure with me and you around he will play pro ball for sure!

traps in the 2nd grade i love it!
 
this is hilarious, a bunch of juiced-up muscle heads near tears over there children. IF ONLY the rest of the world and the damned old media could read this and see us for who we really are. mrhtbd im still laughing at your post
 
Lol I agree Stumpy! Labels are not ALWAYS justified

And nice Ozzy, sounds like the best night a daddy can have!
