When I first started lifting weights (1979) I thought it a good idea to write down my measurements, if not for anything else but for prosperity.
I remember having 11" arms, 30" waist, and a 36" chest.
The rest of the measurements are somewhere but not presently in my mind.
Anyway, here it is, 33 years later, and I've been through bouts thick and thin, from injuries to moments of blissful achievement.
Now that I've been back lifting almost 4 months now (after a year off), I decided to check my stats.
Here they go, all taken cold:
Chest 52"
Shoulders 61"
Waist 35"
Arms 18 3/4"
Calves 19 1/4"
Neck 18"
Now if I can just trim the waist down to bring out those cuts for summer I'll be the Cheese!

A year off training? What about all those 10x10 workouts this past year dude...memory lapse eh? :D Either way, cool stats brutha! :igok:

p.s...My memorys shot to hell and I'm 4 years behind ya - too many drugs back in the day. :headbang:

from such humble beginning and outstanding accomplishment not to mention the obvious longevity of it

LOL, Hank you're right, forgot about those once or twice a week (German Volume System) workouts I had for about a 5 week stretch this past summer.
Evidently, some of the jet fuel from my youth has affected my memory as well!

OH, and by the way, calves can be worked every day, just like forearms and abs. In 1993, for 5 months, I followed the Fred Hatfield IcoPro weight-training program. It had me doing 10x12 calf raises 4 times a week. At the end of the 5 month period, and after training for 2-3 hours up to 6 days a week, I lifted 1005 pounds on a standing calf machine. It had 600 pounds of free-weight, and it got to the point I could do 10x10 with the stack, so I started putting olympic plates, on the weight-stack rod, where it sticks about the shoulder harness.
Long story short, after carrying plates from the other gym and loading the machine for half and hour, I finally attempted and got the 6 reps with 1005lbs, off a 5" raised block, and with touching the floor with my heels between each rep. Oh, those were the days...

Damn good job dude.. I wished I would have wrote things down back in the day cause Lord knows I couldn't remeber shit from way back then.. Stay at it brother your looking good right now!

I don't remember my measurements but I weighed a soaking 145lbs.
But that was 28 years ago. I've grown a bit since then.

mrhtbd....dang. Nice stats and good work dating back to 79. I was about 5 yrs old back then. We are currently very similar sized. I can't get my calves and forearms to grow worth a crap though. :)
