So my mom calls me a little bit ago to tell me that the doctors want to take her right eye out. And she goes in for the consultation Friday. And she doesn't seem to fazed by this. She has had a rough go medically lately stent for a blockage/mild heart attack her diabetes has been wacky lately and caused the eye issues. I'm at a loss here she missed Christmas because she had pneumonia now this.

If I go MIA you guys know why.

Your diabetic get ready for the worse shit possible brother

Yea I know but damn. My eye sight is great and so are my numbers minus when I cheat on meals. Sorry to hear that about your mom Oz. Thats terrible.

I would freak out if doc told me that my eye has to be removed. I hope that your mom is gonna be OK ozzy.

Abnother opportunity for you to give back to someone who gave it all for you. Awesome! She's in my prayers for whatever that is worth to you.

Thank you all she goes in tomorrow at 830 for a three hour consultation and evaluation with the surgical team to see what the options are.

Sorry to hear bro you had one of hell of year. Sending my well wishes.

Your mom is in my prayers. I am remembering you also. But I know you are the best. You will take the best care of her.

So they are gonna try a laser treatment to stop the bleeding behind her eye on Tuesday this set of eye doctors is much more optimistic about saving it. I'm a little releved. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers

Man glad to hear that. Still going to prey though if you are ok with it. No reason to stop with optimism. Lets go for the "Shes going to keep her eye" response :eyes:

Hope all works out ok for her Oz. My dad is 94. A few years back, he slipped on some ice out in the woods - OH winters ya know? Anyways, he fell in a awkward position and a damn STICK went right into his eye and that was all she wrote - docs couldn't save it. But he still gets around ok. :)

Great news. I believe that prayer works. Many scientific medical studies even back this up.

Still praying for your dear mother Ozzy... Keep us updated..

OH? As in Ohio?

I'm sorry to hear that brotha... My parents were a lot older than my friends parents and it was different, but I wouldn't traded them for anything else. Great source of knowledges that benefits me we'll now. My dad paste away in 1996, he was 72 and I was 26... My mom pasted in '05... It has been tough. Only advice I can say is tell them every day that you are. Happy they're your parents and you love them with all your heart. And it is an honor to be their son :-) I promise for them that is huge... One of my biggest regrets is that is didn't tell them enough that I loved them. Don't make that same mistake :-)

God bless,
