Please explain the ice cream phenomena

So I work out for 2 weeks, cardio like crazy, lose a little weight but not much.

Then I say fuck it for a day, relax, eat some ice cream and BAM, the next day I've lost 4 pounds.

This isn't the first time this has happened.

Somebody please explain...
 
yea 4 pounds of muscle..but gained two pounds of fat

o0 wait you dont have muscle...huhahahaha
 
I cant explain it.....I have been dieting like crazy for the past couple of months and seeing small losses every week.....I hit a stand still one week and said F*** it, i want some freakin food....so i ate like a pig on a sunday, i ate pretty much everything i wanted all day....the next day i weighed the least i had yet...i think i lost like 3-4 pounds from the previous friday...i cant figure it out either man.....
 
you guys are giving your metabolism a nice kick in the ass, have a cheat meal once per week to keep it in check.
 
Apparantly banana pudding is not part of the ice cream phenomona (ICP)

not getting to technical but its good to have a heavy carb day once a week..raise up your insulin..

you eat to little carbs and yourmuscles start eating up the protein eat to much carbs and your body stores it as fat..
 
keeping the same diet for a long time will get you at a plateu..ive realized on diet its good to carb up on weekends..

I eat carbs daily....I actually dont count carbs at all.....I was eating strict as hell for months, low carb, high protein, clean cals but was not getting what i wanted out of it, so i went to counting cals and slowly cutting them back...I dont even watch my carb intake at all.....i watch my cal and protien intake alone...They fat has been falling off....The only thing i try not to do is eat a lot of carbs for the last meal of the day....Mainly just a high protien, high fiber meal before bed....
 
Found out first hand about the ice cream issue. I was weighing 193lbs friday night at like 7pm. I did about 30mins of cardio, went home took a shower and went to the bar. I got ice tea, side salad, and a big-ass cheeseburger. POOF!! and it was gone!! this girl and I split this peanut butter and icecream thing they had and it kicked ass as well. The next day around noon I went to the gym and weighed in at 189lbs. CRAZY!! I haven't been this light in probably 21/2 to 3 years. Man it feels great. I need to lose about 10 more pounds. I've got about 2 months or so to make it happen. Fairly doable I think.
 
Dude I'm telling ya, it's crazy.

Maybe I could sell that shit like the 48 hr hollywood diet.

Just have the client work out for a week straight and then ship them some icecream and bamm! They lose weight over night.
 
Come on ripped.. I do my own diet. the only thing I did is the cheat thing with a bit of ice cream for the last meal of the day and noticed that for whatever reason I was down almost 4 lbs. Whatever you think he's "promoting" happened to do what he said and now you're flaming him for it? Don't be a hater bro..
 
lmfaoo @ vegas and medic..sorry to rain on your parade friends...stick to your "icecream phenomena" for a couple more months..you should be in tip top shape;)
 
I will stick to my ice cream you tool. If it works for me I'm going to use it. And if you want to continue flaming the two of us for doing so, that's fine. I will continue to sit here and laugh at you. But if it makes you feel better then by all means, keep doing it.:squintfin :asshole:
 
Pretty sick how that works huh? But the thing is it ONLY works if you are REALLY a clean eater for a period of time. Doesn't work for me. Usually I'll eat really clean, then "cheat" one day and the next morning I gain wieght, but once I eat well that day again then the next morning shows like a 2-3 lb loss. Cool.. LOL I think I'm going to A&W tonight and getting a cone. LOL

LOL. Dude I don't have a computer. I'm such a loser. LOL I work at the gym part time so the only time I can come here is when I'm working there. :( I miss ya man...
