Just got back from another 3 day camping trip, i'll see if any of the few pics we took that doesn't have us in them....though I took most of the pictures. I have posted on other sites about camping in the past, and some of the problems that these POS gangbangers are going up and trashing the place with spray pain and graffit and also just leaving their trash on the ground. Makes me fucking sick why anybody would want to ruin such a beautiful place. This following post is kind of a continuation to another one I made elsewhere, but is easy to read.
I talked to the fire ranger just before we left on the last day, and he really made me feel much better about the future of the campgrounds. Starting last August, camping required a fee to stay overnight at all the surrounding campgrounds, 15.00 per night and 5.00 extra for each additional vehicle. At first i was kind of up in the air about the fee, but as the last year went on, I was in favor of the fee in hopes that it would weed out all the gangbangers and taggers that have infested the place over the last few years. Well, talking to the Ranger yesterday, he asked me how our stay was, and I said it was great. I asked him if having the fee has effected the number of people who come stay (it was much less populated this year, which is good imo
), and he said that it still gets full, but they've been able to weed-out about 98% of the people who come up and cause problems. He stated they spent a lot of money replacing table tops and railings to get rid of the grafitti. I have to say it looked much better, just like it did when I was a kid with my parents and cousins and grandparents and all the great memories we had there. He said that the remaining percent or two that do come up, they have a much better control on them and usually get them out if they do anything disrespectful to the area. I talked to him a bit more about this hiking trip I have wanted to do up there for the last 2-3 years, just before we left. Bottom line is, it appears like they are saving the area and putting their foots down in weeding out the bad seeds. I left in such a great mood knowing this.
The hiking trip may not happen....looks like my friend is weinying out on me...we'll see.
Okay, now for some funny ass shit
There are a few places to drive to around the area, and one is a set of waterfalls that are beautiful and peaceful to kick around and relax. Anyway, we took a trip up there on the second day because I wanted to rinse off after sweating the day prior setting up camp, and because the icy water just felt good in a sick way in the hot ass sun. Anyway, upstream some was this asian/Korean/phillipino guy (not exactly sure on his heritage) fishing for rainbow trout. As we are walking past him, he catches this like 4" trout and puts it in his ice chest. I yelled at him, "Are you keeping that little fish?" He just nods back to me and grins. I unload on him saying something along the lines of "it's people like you who ruin the fishing for everybody else by taking all the baby fish before they even grow, what the hell is your problem?" He just turns his head and walks out into the stream and continues fishing. In cali, there is no size restriction on trout, but it doesn't take a wildlife expert to know that if you catch a whopping 4" fish, you may want to release it back and catch a larger one. As we are walking upstream, I yell out "You're a fish rapist, keep ruining it for everybody else guy!" He turns around and yells something back at me, and I wanted to go out and knock his ass out, but the fiance yelled out to just "let the fucker do what he wants, let's not ruin our trip over this." I've come to learn that even though I don't understand women at all, all women at that, that when it come to your significant other, they are probably right...lol.
Anyway, we go upstream a bit about 20 yards or so, to cross over to the other side, and I get a briliant idea
She crosses over on some rocks, but I just wanted to get wet and walk through some of the deeper parts. In the middle of the stream, I drop my drawers and unload a massive turd, like 10-12 inches long and it was a floater! This was followed up by another one half its size. I watch the first one go down stream toward the guy and it hits him on the leg about knee high. LMAO!!! He turns around and starts yelling whatever his primary language is at me for like a whole minute, and I was laughing so damn hard it pissed him off even more. He turns around to fish some more, and then the second turd nails him too
He started yelling at me again real loud, and he managed to throw a few english cuss words at me. However, down stream a little bit a family heard him and the dad unloaded on him telling him to shut up because their kids were with them. I yelled at him that my turds are bigger than the fish he is taking and not releasing. The fish molester proceeded to say a few more things, but eventually shut up. So anyway, we go up and I have a dip, along with having some snacks and relax for about an hour. On our way back down stream, we walked past the fish molester (who is still in the middle of the stream), and i'm laughing my ass off some more and he starts to mutter something, and I point real fast behind him yelling "Watch out there's a turd behind you!" LOL, he turns around real quick and falls into the water...LMAO!!! He gets up cussing some more, and we just kept walking past him laughing, and reach that family down below. They ask us what the heck was going on upstream, and I told them that some guy is collecting trout like 4" in size, and that he didn't like what I had to say when I told him he was a fish molester for not releasing them back. The family got upset even more, and told me that one of the Rangers were presently at the grounds below and that I should tell him.
So we meet up with the Ranger down below, and tell him that some guy has an ice chest full of 3-4" trout. He said that they couldn't do anything due to their size, but he said most guys like that usually have more fish than they are supposed to have (5 count), and if this were the case, he'd write him a citation and tell him to leave.
About 20-30 minutes later while we were sitting on the bed of the fiance's truck eating some sandwiches and chips, the fish molester comes storming out from the stream all pissed off and leaves in his minivan trying to peel out but all you hear is the 4-banger revved up...lol. The ranger then comes up to us with the guy's ice chest, and he says..."that guy had way over his limit, and these fish are pathically small." He takes a picture of the fish inside, and then we help him take all the fish over to the stream and release them back into the water....they all swam away alive....like 20 of them! We measured most of them, and the largest fish he had was 4.5" long!
He said he wrote him a ticket and told him that he didn't want to see him around those parts again, or he was going to make him leave. He thanked us and he was hungry so we gave him a few sandwiches and chips and soda, and thanked him too. Mission accomplished
I'm not some tree hugger at all, but some things just irk me when people don't respect nature and our wildlife.
LOL, the rest of the trip was great except for all these mosquito bites I acquired.
