Started my new Spring Traing Program on October 9, 2017 after 2 1/2 years off. My goal was simple; 200 super sets by March 20th, the Spring Equinox, using opposing muscle groups on the same plane using the German 10x10 Volume System. Well, although I (wisely) started light to avoid ligament sprains and strains, the weights have steadily increased. The old self has emerge. It's good stuff. Even took my 16 year old daughter with me. Our first workout I asked, "WhT do you want to do?" She said, "I like squats!" Wow, after my own heart! Long story short, I had completed 27 sets of 10x10 super sets in 25 days, so I'm on track, but this week it's time to step it up another notch.

That's a lot of volume, personality I have always made my best gains with high volume workouts.

Liked squats? Good for her because that's a hard thing to like. I hate them, but they are necessary

Started a new 10x10 superset last week; standing calf raises on a Smith Machine with lying leg raises. Rehabbing my (still swollen) broken ankle and trying to flatten my stomach area after the umbilical cord hernia surgery I had on September 20th. Also I was happy to get 225x5 on my 5th set of bench presses on Wednesday. That's a good sign after only being back a month after not lifting in 2 1/2 years.
