My wife and I were working out Monday night, not together, and I looked over and see the gym manager running to the basketball court with an AED. I then see my wife on the ground giving a man cpr, she is an RN ans speficalky trained in trauma. i ran over and assisted her along with the man's 25yo son. My wife did cpr til the paramedics arrived and got him breathing and a pulse. The man was only 57yo and suffered a massive heart attack and did nor make it. My.wife did all she could and I am proud of hee. He had heart surgery in 09 according to his son. It was traumatic and even though we didn't know him but we are going to his funeral on Monday. Just wanted to share. Live life to the fullest my friends.

Damn ,regardless wether you knew the man or not , The willingness and quick attention and reaction of your wife to quickly administer CPR and the proper techniecs is fabulous on her part ,Hands down to your misses and ,the effort you and her put out and showed is well respected and will be acknowledged for certain .
Hats off to your and your wife. It must have just been his time to go ...
And you are correct , We all should live life like there is no tommorow because we just dont know .

makes you think...a close friend (age 44) had a heart attack on the soft-ball field in July. Had there not been two nurses there (one one his team, and the other playing on the neighboring field) he would have died that night. They took turns working on him for almost 20 mins till the EMT's arrived.

...boy, that'll put the din on the place!
Kudo's to the wife,
condolences to the family

A guy dropped dead on the treadmill in my gym about 4-5 years ago, there were a couple para medics and 2 ER nurses working out, they did all they could but couldn't help. This guy was only 35.

Very good of you and the wife stepping up and helping out.

Similar thing happened with a close friend of mine. In June, 42 years old had massive heart attack an hour after our game ended. He pitched one of the best games of his life, had a few beers with the team and went home and collapsed. left behind 4 kids age 3 to 13.

BigSickD the world needs more people like your wife.

Kudos to you and your wife, I'm sure his family appreciate everything you both did.

Got to enjoy every moment because it may be our last
