At the high school where I work (inner city) I get threatened so often it's almost a joke.
The new jokel was in my face today saying he was going to b*** Me the F*** up!
I said, "Get in line, there's at least 20 people in fornt of you."
Sometimes I am amazed at my level of patience.
I obviously use more energy in not responding, as opposed to, if I just unleashed the wrath.
Think I need a new training program.

Damn, you have more patience than me. I think if I had a little punk saying that to me, i would spin him around and spank him on the spot. lol

I couldn't stand the ghetto school my ex-wife put Sarah in when she wrested custody from me (false allegations) in Feb 2006. But I really had a rapport with the principal. He was a big burly guy, about as friendly and as nice as you could ever meet, but was no-nonsense with the unruly kids. I was talking with him in his office one morning, when a fight broke out in the hallway. He excused himself, and when I glanced out the door, he had 2 160 lb black sixth graders, one in each hand, shaking them by the scruff of the neck . He came back in grinning and said, you have to show these punks who's boss or they'll run all over you! :D

BTW...at this point I have total custody of Sarah. The ex has NO visitation at all.

Nothing worse than a lippy schoolkid. But then again they are mostly like that cause their home life is so fucked up :(

Came from a great family as well. I was oldest of 6 boys and we all thought we were tough guys and ran amock in our teens. I met an antique dealer last year and he told me he grew up on my street and his parents told him when he got to my intersection, to make sure he crossed the street so he never walked close to my house. I would have thought that was cool at 16; it's a bit embarrassing now.

I got lots of whippins from teachers in elementary school. Never hurt me and probably should still be allowed. ;)

I think the youth of today are far worse than my generation, most of em have no respect big mouths and bad attitudes they want seven shades of shxt kickin out of em

I grew up (11 years) in an all-male orphanage and had 47 fist-fights by the time I graduated.
Lived in 13 different homes and had 16 sets of parents, for at least 3 months each, by the time I was 17.
Mother was killed in a fire and dad was too distraught mixed with 2 1/2 years in the South Pacific to pick up the pieces.
He did what he did so we could get and education, which I did.
Been lifting weights for thirty years.
Hit a guy 3 years ago at a gas station.
He was in my face and there was no way out.
A left jab to his lower jaw pushed his lower teeth over far enough to clack against his opposite top teeth and I heard his jaw tendon rip.
He was about 27, 5'11" and just under 200 lbs.
Don't know my strength but it's more than I ever imagined.
Been at this all black high school for 7 years.
Volunteered to go there, knowing the demographic, thinking I could make a difference. Put up with a lot of crap.
Salary increased greatly because of additional degree's and certifications.
Currently have 2 Master Degree's, 9 teaching certifications, and just finished the work and passed the state test for a Principal certification in June. Sent in the paperwork last month. I'm mostly and adminstrator now, just teach one class.
Feeling very irritated because of limitations in my forearm from getting stabbed at the school 2 years ago and not being able to lift.
After lifting for 30 years, and using lifting as a positive outlet for angst, not having it is getting to me.
Saw the kid again today talking shit.
I told him he'll never get away with stepping within 1 inch of my space without me being in his face.
One fallen domino would knock all the others out of the running, but I'm biding my time.
If I finish this year, I will have all the juice to move into another district, and if I stay, I'll be in the top pay bracket next year. Very substancial.
Would love to jack up again, wife wants another baby, gotta stay small. Frustrating.
Some know of me and it's the same old boring story with a few new twists, but I miss the gym, of being massive, and going one day without the constant nagging pain and reminders.
Guess I'll go back in my sheltered realm and try to regroup, but like I wrote before, it amazes me how much I can tolerate.
If I was a body of water, I would be a deep lock ness, quelling subterfuge into the deep, and just to think that two weeks before getting stabbed I pulled 365 for 6 on the hammer strength pull-down machine. What a waste.

Thanks, brother, I appreciate it!
The good thing is, I'm popular and most of the kids like me, as I provide a positive male influence to their lives, (and tell funny stories) but it's just the few knuckleheads that make me question my daily existance, viability, and sanity for keeping myself in that environment.
There's not a day goes by someone doesn't ask me to tell the story about how I punched a shark. but I always have to remind them it was a karate chop!
