I am looking for a new job and pretty much this is a factory area, all manufacturing type jobs. I am thinking about going to night classes to learn CNC, there are ads all the time looking for them around here. The instructor of the class told me there are more CNC jobs than there are qualified or trained people.

If you are one or know anything about it, please share it with me. what kind of pay etc......

They pay great if you know what your doing. My dad's been in the biz forever. He's actually trying to get out of it now because he's tired of it lol. But you get paid really well...

I would think 20-30 an hour for high-skilled labor... and if the market is what you say it is.

G4E did you get your answer ?

and are you looking to be an operator then move to a programmer ?

Let me know I have a few guys I could hook you up with.

We work on the design side using Solidworks, Pro-E, Computer Aid Tools.

My old man makes somewhere around $25 an hour I think. Maybe more. He's been at it for a while and runs the shop where he works at.
