I always thought it was crazy how lame some bands sound live compared to their cd's. Or vice versa. I think the most fun and entertaining ones Ive ever been to so far has been Disturbed/5 finger deathpunch and Endeverafter. Not many cool bands come through here lol. Klutch is gonna be here this weekend though. I should slit my wrists for not going to Ozzfest or Kruefest over the summer..:thumbsdow. I wish I was born earlier to be able to see some 70s and 80s bands in their prime. Like Metallica, Van Halen, Pantera, hell even bon Jovi, Scorpions, Damn Yankees etc. My brother tells me stories about him seein Pantera back in the day. Said it was like a damn fight through the whole show lol. Sweet

My father has seen almost every classic rock band in their prime and has played with some of them. He saw hendrix 3 times, zeppelin twice, the stones 3 times, he was at woodstock but had to leave, dereck and the dominos, clapton twice, van halen before they made it big in a club in conneticut, crosby stills nash and young, santana, he played with jeff beck in a club in new york, aerosmith, mountain 3 times, deep purple, johnny winter, probably more he was a musician in the 70's

Me i have seen in the past 5-6 years, rolling stones, van halen, motley crue, lyrnard skinnard, aerosmith, vevet revolver.

Of all the concerts i have been to the rolling stones was the sickest. Sold out gaints stadium 2 nights in a row 65,000 people there. THe stage was larger than the stadium. FIreworks and a moving stage. WHen symphathy for the devil came on huge inflatable red devil and red flares and smoke.

The current crop of musicians really suck the only ones who i can say can really rock out are john mayer, kenny wayne sheppard, and eric johnson.

I just started picking up the guitar recently and cannot put that thing down i play like 3 hours a day.

My father says it all the time he is like mtv when it first came out, you were excited to see what the bands were doing and they had such great musicians. HEll i can remember being a kid and going nuts when Money for nothing and sweet child of mine came on. Now mtv is retarded reality shows and Hip hop and R and b. I refuse to listen to hip hop i work in the ghetto i know where it is at. Black people hate white people and these rappers will call u cracker the first chance they can get.

If ur from texas, texas has a strong musical tradition. Johnny winter, eric johnson, zz top, stevie ray vaughn, double trouble, fabolous thunderbirds.

I graduated in '88 from high school. Saw some killer bands then and through the years. The best in order:

Pink Floyd
Van Halen ( with David Lee Roth and without)
Def Lepard
Korn
Kiss
Sevendust
Guns and Roses
AC/DC (lost my hearing on that one for a few days. Ears still rings like church belles or should I say Hells Bells).
Kiss (so many freakin times I can't count)
Creed
White Snake

A few more I wont mention but these were the best.

thats cool about your dad. I admit Im kinda surprised the stones can still put on a good show, but thats good they do. I always heard motley crue puts on a sick ass concert. I agree it seems like theres not as much good music these days. But maybe were just biased towards stuff made closer to when we were born? Tied to memories or something..I dunno. Since thats how old people always complain about nothin being good these days lol. There is some good new guys out there but theyre usually harder to find it seems. Yeah man guitar is awesome. Great feeling to hear your own music

yeah mtv is worthless now..mtv 2 is where its at seems like. I cant stand all the retarded reality shows they have on there now. They need to change the name mtv..it has nothing to do with music now. Not all rap is bad I guess but it seems like thats when it started going downhill for them

ah man stevie ray vaughn. I love watching old videos of him playing. What a shame hes gone. My brother met one of the dudes from zz top at the dallas airport.

mannn I would kill to have been able to see guns n roses back in the day! Lucky dog. i bet Kiss and whitesnake wouldve been fun too.

Motley crue sucked live. Vince neil missing words and the guitar is way way to loud in the mix. And what is not to believe about the stones they hire the best backup musicians around and are the biggest band in the world

New guys i am feeling are kenny wayne sheppard, john mayer, eric johnson

ozzy is sick, only real metal i like seems like ozzy gets all the good guitarists

Kiss was great but I wasn't all that crazy about White Snake. Maybe it was that everyone there was fried. Just seemed doomy and gloomy. Great White played with them. I've seen at least Kiss 4 times

guns and roses is one of my favorite groups. I grew up on that

I saw Aerosmith, Tom Petty, Bon Jovi, Creed, Greenday, Hinder, Nickelback, 3 Days Grace, Saliva. All good Live!

Korn-talk shit but they put on a hell of a show
Matchbox twenty
A.F.I.
Garth Brooks-great show
Green Day
Avenged Sevenfold

Ive seen others that sucked and opened for some of these bands....I wish i could have seen Guns at their best and Pantera....

lol maybe they were already wasted? I know the stones are big when it comes to concerts but I can remember seeing them perform at that superbowl halftime show and literaly fell asleep watching Mick jagers old ass trying to dance around everywhere lol. I want to see Rob Zombie live toasted..his shows look pretty fun. All that weird shit goin onstage http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_9Iow8ydwtI

2006, Hampden Park, Glasgow, Bon Jovi supported by Nickleback, by the time Bon Jovi came on I was drunk as fuck and can't remember much of it, I recorded a lot on my phone but it's all wobbly!

ROlling stones at the superbowl was kind of lame. I want to see tom petty in concert.

I just got tickets today to see satriani and mountain in concert
