Big snow NorthEast?

It's coming down at a low angle, pretty fast, and with small, chrystaline flakes from the Northeast. About an inch already but they are calling for 12"-18". I said it wouldn't be over 5", but after seeing what I described above, would put my low guess closer to 8"-10". Everyone around here is a packrat...plenty of provisions.
 
go figure, i live in new england and we usually have a ton of snow. this year there is barely enough to coat the ground while DC is digging out from 18-24" snowstorms routinely!
 
Some places are getting hit with two feet or more other areas close by are getting very little. We already got more than a dozen feet so far but today is clear as can be.
 
Eating crow, now as we got about 15" of snow, but it's not all for naught, as school is closed for tomorrow.

One can get a nice tan spending the day in the snow.
In fact, I don't think my face color ever recouperated from my two winters as a ski lift operator.
Still-red-in-the-face, and it ain't because I'm shy.

Thats sounds like great snow shoe'n weather, if its not windy. :)

All of our snow is gone in the valley, still plenty in the mountains though. We had the driest January in 67 years.
