Do spikes in insulin hamper weight loss? I will use a Blood Glucose Monitor in a way that will track the rise and fall of glucose levels (hence insulin spikes) as I eat different foods. This data will then be used to fine tune a diet. The goal of this diet will be to keep insulin levels as low as possible, therefore it is necessary to eat only foods that have a minimal impact on glucose levels.
I need help in setting up the protocols of the experiment.
How soon to test after eating?
When to retest?
What should my resting glucose be when I eat the food?
How long between meals?
How many tests should be done on each food, three in one day, once a day for three days, or once a day for one week? That kind of thing.
What supplements should I avoid so as not to skew the results?
Help in determining and eliminating other limitations is needed.
Am I on the right track?
Do YellowJacket, Spidey, and Lolokos visit this board? Their help in setting up the protocals might be helpful
