Anyone know if this stuff is OK or complete garbage - quality wise that is? They sell it at Walmart. I used to use it last year, then started buying ON Gold Standard whey when I started working haha. :p It normally sells for $18.59 for 2lbs, but they got it on sale for $9.00. I was thinking about stocking up on it at that killa price, BUT, if it's one of those brands that got caught up in protein spiking, then fugg it. I lost the link showing all the brands that protein spiked, so anyone know anything about Body Fortress, please holla.

Thanks

It's better than nothing. It's the nutrition labels you need to read. . . . It lists L-Glutamine as an ingredient, rather than it being in the amino profile breakdown; and it doesn't list how much of it. So however many grams of L-Glutamine they have per can of protein goes against the total grams or protein per scoop. L-Glutamine is almost free when purchased in bulk. This is why it sells for less. Your not actually getting 30g of complete protein per scoop. . . .

Most all less costly protein will have this or a similar breakdown. Look into Dante's True Nutrition's Whey protein concentrates label for example. There are no "Proprietary" blends, nor are any aminos listed as an ingredient. Brother, like most things, you get what you pay for.

It's a shitty brand guilty of protein spiking like mondo was referring to, they glutimine and other low quality shit to it, to make it appear to have more protein per scoop.

Great info thank you sir.

With the gas problems you were describing in a thread I remember, you best stay away if you still working in that closed space with females.:laugh3::laugh3:

I used it years ago and it gave me GI issues, gas etc. Glutamine is a good amino and key in a lot of metabolism but who knows what else is in this product. Crap protein whey products can have more cholesterol and lactose than higher quality products. Glutamine is cheap and abundant.
