This is no bull shit and you need to hear the truth.
Sure there'll be candy ass negative comments to try and rebuke this but the truth is simply the truth.
I've got over 33yrs of training experience to back this up as well as others I have personally trained and others I have witness either at the gym or on the web.
I've listened to other so-called gurus preach on how their training strategy is superior to another.
I've heard the supplement companies lie to you about how their product(s) is the best muscle builder out there. With mediocre results no matter how "dialed-in" your diet and training is.
Very few will give you any results in building the body you want. Over time you will find that out (after spending your hard-earned money).
Gear will get you there but that's the beauty and bonus of your diet/training and genetics.
There's a ton of products out there that will make you "swole" or give you a "pump" but when that wears off a few hours after you leave the gym.
Guess what? The funs over and reality sets back in. No true muscle gain.
So stay with me here and listen closely. I'm a powerlifter. After coming out of the military years ago I went hard core in to bodybuilding and strength training.
Competed in some local bodybuilding shows winning a few of them in my weight class. I've won 27 powerlifting competition local/state and regional.
This year (God willing and life doesn't get in the way-again) I'm going to compete in the national qualifier in the SFF and onward to the nationals.
With that being said and from all the above I mentioned. The only way you're going to build a bigger physique is to get stronger.
Which mean you gotta quit playing with baby weights and lift some heavy ass weights. I'm not saying you have to convert totally over to being a powerlifter/strongman.
Despite popular belief you can blend strength training with bodybuilding. A lot of the new "hybrid" powerlifting eBooks that are out there has successful clientele based testimonials to back this up.
I myself have proven this also in my training methodologies. Those who know me trough the years have seen this in my training journals. And short training posts I have made.
You will grow thicker from strength training. The more weight you consistently push or pull you will grow, period!
It's only then you will transform. Higher reps/drop sets will condition and shape you and your genetic potential, but only strength training will build your genetic potential.
It's just that simple. Those that have been through this "tried and true" and/or have been training like this for some time now will attest to this to be the truth.
The only big "SECRET" here is you getting on-board and listening to those that have done it. Proved it and are teaching this to others right now as we speak.
So with this being said there's been vids/ eBooks and written training and diet method on this that has been out there.
Think about it. Muscle is only a byproduct of strength and nothing more. If you're calling your gym time a workout then you're not progressing. If you're training then you have a true plan
and you're then progressing. How much real strength have you added to your squat/bench/deadlift or military press lately? I don't care if you can curl 225lbs. BIG DEAL!
There's a reason we powerlifters are looking thicker and more like a pro bodybuilder these days. We figured out how not to be be a wimp or a hollow chocolate Easter bunny.
We figured out how to manipulate different core exercises and with the set/rep scheme to make this a reality. Our powerlifting forefathers paved the way for us new breed of powerlifters to
innovate proven methods based on "old school" style training to get you bigger and thicker but YOU CAN'T BE AFRAID TO LIFT HEAVY! Like the saying goes;
"Everybody wants to be a beast until it's time to do what beasts do!"
I'm not here trying to sell you on anything but to get in the right frame of mind. To get bigger/thicker, but to do that "YOU" and only you have to get stronger and that's the bottom line.
You have to get organized and on a schedule in your mind. You have to start setting real attainable goal to reach your ultimate goal of what you want from yourself and the iron.
Stop listening to people's BS about this is the latest and greatest thing that will give you this or that in "ONLY" 30 days. Pay your dues; of course, but do it wisely and not jump on every band
wagon than pops up with something new. So basically, stop being a tire kicker and use the tools that actually work to get you where you need to be in life as well as in the gym.
