Went to the Doc last week and they measured my blood pressure at 212/125. They said I should go to the nearest ER.
I said, "But Doc, I don't even have a headache!"
I laughed at him and told him to take a blue pill.

Seriously, though, I stopped taking a med for 5 days because I ran out. I guess that wasn't the smartest thing.
It was only Prazosin 2mg, would such a little bit really make a difference?

Doc put me on AZOR 5/20, anyone hjave any experience with that? I have been under a lot of stress in the past 6 months.

BP is way too high. One of the reasons I mentioned too much acid in my diet on another thread. Looking at all sorts of things that would elevate the BP. Doc said, "Quit looking for a a scapegoat, it's Genetic."

I replied, "Well, I don't know who this 'Genetic guy' is, but when I catch up with him I'm gonna take him by the throat and rattle his collar!

BP help please!

That's why hbp is called the silent killer, most often you don't experience any symptoms.

Parents didn't leave money, but the did leave hypertension. I'm on Lisinopril 20mg with a diuretic 2 x a day to keep me under 140. Every year my BP jumps a bit and the med dosage changes to compensate. I had AZOR, but it made for a limp pud, so switched to Lisinopril and no issues.

Get yourself a BP meter and use it daily to keep track of things. You get in the squat rack with some heavy weight and that BP, you will blow a vessel - sometime.

Thanks for the alternative, that's why I didn't like Azor the last time!

Damn that's a very high BP! What kind of medication are you on? My parents had high blood pressure but mine is on the lower side or normal depending on how I feel.

Lifts is right, you can look for the reason later, you need to treat the high BP NOW or it will kill you. lisinopril would be a good choice particularly if you are currently on anabolics. In the air force fighter corps, they have a saying, "honor the threat"!
ace inhibitors (lisinopril) is very effective in mediating the effects of steroids on Left Ventricular Hypertrophy, you can kill two birds with one stone.

Wow. That's bad.. Was his machine working fine? I'd say it is. You need a get away and a change along side the meds. My Bp
Was 170/90 for a while. Went on holidays. Came back and it's 125/80 :D
You have too much stress ATM.
By a monitor and check it first thing in the AM

Went to my doc the next day. Told him they pumped it up several times and I didn't believe the reading.
He checked it: 179/114, so yeah, real problem.

The med I didn't take for 5 days because I ran out was prazosin 2mg.
