How important is it to limit it? I will have a BIG problem with this since I drink 2 pots of coffee/day.

That's a lot lol! Coffee is not really bad for you, but I would ask how much water you are also drinking?

Too much caffeine, if it's a high emount, especially those found in energy drinks, can have negative effects on the body. Caffeine can be very addicting and hard to come off of if you're body is already used to having it every day. I used to be addicted to soda, I would drink a 6 pack a day and it took me a while to stop drinking so much.

I remember when I worked grocery, a coworker in the meat department always ordered cases and cases of Red Bull and drank A LOT of that stuff every day. He was very energetic and walked twice the normal speed he was supposed to, lol. Don't know what happened to him, but I'm sure he's fine.

Caffeine increases your heart rate, so be careful in how much you take in. You don't want to wind up dead somewhere, do you? :)

I personally drink a LOT of coffee and diet Mt. Dew as well. BUT I drink 1.5 gallons of water per day, sure I am addicted but who cares I am not coming off of it, so no worries for me :)

Now thats a great post

Too much caffeine can cause your body to stress out pretty bad. Eventually it can cause high blood pressure and an imbalance of hormones. It can also cause some pretty bad sleep. And we all know if you don't sleep or if you sleep poorly it can also cause a lot of health problems like weight gain, high blood pressure, high cholesterol...ect.

Me personally, I don't drink coffee everyday. I do it every couple of days and I will only drink at the most 2 cups. I'm caffeine sensitive though.

Here is a website that I found that may help answer your question better.

I drank Diet pepsi all my life. not the caffenine free kind either.... My friend stopped drinking it and lost about 5 lbs. in about 3 days. So, I stopped cold turkey. the first two days were the worse, but then after that I was fine, now all I drink is water and have one 20 oz of milk. the only time I drink soda is when we go out to dinner and even then I start drinking the water instead.

But the caffenine stoppage definately gives you a headache. the funny thing is, since I started drinking just water, I have more energy. wierd. But that is just me.
