It's the new mechanism.
The polar ice caps are melting so fast that the moisture goes up into the atmosphere. Mix that with all the methane expulsed from the Caribou herds and the moisture becomes heated and expands Southward.
It get's picked up by the Westerly Winds and goes over the great lakes (which are very cold only because warming has subverted beneath ground.) Remember, Al Gore said," ...the Earth's internal temperature was like, 5 million degree's?"
He should know, as he invented it. Heat, then, underground, get it? Just trying to esplain the science to you dimwits.
Anyway, those darn ice caps have caused 34 inches of snow to drop in my yard in less than a week, and I live in South-East Pennsylvania, not far from the beach as it were, and we also got a bunch of them there methane producers of our own.
Didn't you know, Philadelphia was voted a few years ago as the fattest city in America?
Anyways, our great President, Fallop Tookarama, even went to Copenhagen to convince the world of the doom and peril we would face with global warming, and of course I believes 'im, so I done prepared for the heat wave, but I's haf ta tell yous, I be lookin' very silly out here shovelling dat nasty white stuff with my wide-brimmed hat on, zinc oxide on my nose, shades, Hawaian shirt, sunscreen and flip-flops. Thank goodness we all learned the metric system, cause it's 39 degree's out, an that's warm, ain't it? Opps, that's in Fahrenheit, I retract.

lol alot of people have been having a bad winter but toronto known to have bad winters has been having an amazing winter barely any snow at all achually two days ago was the first real snow fall and it was barly any, and the temps arent even that cold except for a few days here and therre its been amazing

My city (northern AB) set the record this year for 2nd coldest place on Earth... happened before winter officially started, even: -58.4 C (-73.1 F).

I welcome 'global warming' with open arms :).

Wow, -73 F? Dahenm! Coldest I ever experienced was near lake Eire and it was only -26 at the center of town. Was afraid to smile lest I get permanent cracks in my face.

You bet. It freezes your eyelids shut if you're not careful.
