Well, countless hours of work sanding, prepping, staining (Varathane-"Golden Pecan") and 3 coats of Varathane oil-based high-gloss clear varnish and finally pulled the plastic and opened the room for use.
My youngest loves it, and I am very relieved at how nice it turned out.

That floor looks beautiful.....nice job...How many hours went into that? It doesn't look like a small room!

Awesome Job Bro, They look Amazing!! You should Be proud!!

From the title I thought you meant she pee'd on the floor.
Nice job. Now have fun maintaining it!

That looks fantastic mrhtbd! I can truly appreciate the amount of work you put into that, as I was a remodeler for many years. ;)

At least 100 hours including prep, etc. The living room (with the 3 windows) is 18'x12', the dining room (with the green paint which needs new paint) is 12'x10'. Added to the entrance hallway and it's about 440 Square feet.
The floor trim looks a bit dirty because I pushed the varnich under the edges to seal them and will be trim painted soon.
Of course, the hallway walls need a small drywall patch repair (in the one picture) and new paint.
PS: the wife loves it, and that's what matters.
I want her to spread her wings, feel comfortable in her home, and nest.

100Hrs ...WOW.. a labour of love, but looks like it payed off! Oh hey, I'm sure your wife loves it...what woman wouldn't! It gives a real warm, classy feeling to a home ....hardwood floors! And clean as well!

I have refinished a few floors like this and it is well worth it. I would never buy carpet again. You did a GREAT job mrhtbd!

my Danes would destroy that floor, but damn it looks good. I just laid 1100 sqft of 12mm laminate so i feel your pain.

Nice work.
