My wife and I raised the large breed chows most of our married life.
My last one died Dec. '09.
Now I have a dobie/shepherd mix I inherited from my youngest son when he moved out to get married 5 years ago.
I love my dogs, but this one will probably be the last one so ,my wife and I can pack up the Harley and hit the highway without worrying about my baby.
But we own some acreage and have horses, so dogs are almost a necessity where we live. Who knows?

Beautiful Pups by the way!

i like chows also..they have that little mean streak in them lol..and i hear ya on the babysitting a dog and end up keeping it..been there lol

6 year old brindle apbt named Dyna.

Great looking dogs bros. I've always liked the look of a Doberman and shepherd. Wouldnt be fair right now to have one tho

WTF is a Chow?
I have always had Rottis, love em to death. Have one now and also a black muttsky I dunno WTF he is but hes a cool dog, a real gentleman. The Rotti is 18 MOnths old, named Cody. I should have renamed her "Destructor" cause she is the most destructive animal I have ever fucking seen! Retrieves 20 ft tree branches when Ive had the chainsaw out, leaves em on the back verander, drags 40ft of garden hose around the place, leather soccer balls last 10 minutes, rips the beds out of the kennel and sits there chewing em to tiny little pieces lol, she is great though I love her to death, even when she digs holes 3 ft across and 2 ft deep in the garden. The Garden is like 1 1/2 acres with a pond, plus she gets a big run two to three times a day in the back 40 acre field, but she still fucking destroy every damn thing ha ha, gotta love the bastards :)

lmao..yea we went through that stage..if he could put it in his mouth it was his to do whatever he wanted..lol..and a chow is chinese decent, black toungue, curled fluffy tail..

those are nice dogs hows there temperment they say they are fucking very agressive they look like cane corso anyways i have a 90lbs doberman male he might be closer to 100lbs now and i have a 140lbs argentine dogo

We got a rottie, labrador, terrier recently lost our big rottie male, nice lookin dogs you got there

i had an american bull dog named rocco that i just had to put down two weeks ago! he had cancer! :( debating on wherether or not imma get another! maybe after the holidays and when there isnt snow on the ground! house breaking a pupping during the holidays and when there is snow on the grow sux!

Yes this is prob sad, but this would be my former dog kinda (exs dog) still hang with the dog tho, not a little dog fan but she won me over.

the temperment of the male(black) is amazing but we have had him since a pup and spent alot of time training and socializing but has a high prey drive..and the fawn female..we took her from an abusive owner who beat and neglected her..she has been alot of work..she is territory aggressive but not dog aggressive....there are never bad dogs but just bad owners IMO..got an pics of your dogo?

ill see if i can get some pics yeah agree never bad dogs but bad owners but i do think some are more agressive(prey drive ) by instinct

i agree Joe..some breeds are aggressive by nature..they do have a high drive but i try to keep it in check..hows your dogo for temperment?

believe it or not very calm and nice and playful like a big giant baby the only thing is hes 140lbs so he can knock people over without even knowing it 0 agression to anything so far my doberman has a high agression to other dogs if anything challenges him he will attack no warning its fucked so my dogs have gotten into fights the dogo beats him every time now but just like holds him at bay where he could easily kill the dobe

Nice dogs....I like all breeds in their own way. I have had a good variety through the years. My favorite big dog breed is Rott....I had two and they were the best large breed for me. I currently have a pit and she is the nicest girl that will lick you to death. My best small breed dog was a min datsun....that Lil weenie dog was the best. My min pin was just too damn stubborn.

Oh, don't forget muts...they are under rated. When I grew up we had a half dobie/Shepard mix and that dog was the smartest and best dog a child could ask for. My dad spent good time training, but that dog was great. In all dogs, it depends on how much time owner puts into them.
