I know, I'm old, not hip, square, etc., etc.
I saw the first Twilight last night and now I get it.
It was a good movie, in many respects, but the crowd sensation about it baffled me, until I watched it.
Forbidden love, not getting the one you want, or not ever finding someone to connect with so deeply.
We all have lived these.
The movie struck a cord, and aside from all the fantasia, I think the awe of finding one you can totally relate to, in its infinite attraction, is inherent in us all.
Well, for me anyway, the rest of you will have to ellaborate what is inherent in you, as I am not qualified to make that determination for you.
Thank goodness for that!

Joe is right, the movie were so popular because of the books

Its the teen version of hairy potter

Ive watched all of them because i just love movies i general, no matter the movie if it looks decent ill watch it

The first two i actually did enjoy, I didnt look for a deeper meaning or anything and i dont relate to any of those characters or whats going on with them

The 3rd one i thought was horrible, it was 99% long drawn out love story and 1% horribly over hyped fight scene.

I just want to have sex with what's her name. Hopin' she leaves that loser vampire and gets with the hot wolf kid.

I read the books and watched the movies. The next movie should be even more kick ass.

guess i might as well enter the homosexual rhelm here and admit that i like the movies too! and mrhtbd is right, something about finding that one love that u KNOW is right really makes the movies interesting especially when it damn near kills her when edward leaves her in the 2nd one. its almost like u can feel what she feels (so to speak).

of coarse i have to give my "whore opinion" on it too...like 99% of girls like the movies and they are a perfect way to ask someone who may be slightly outta ur league on a date lol cause i mean they all wanna see the movies when they come out and its hard to turn down free lol...nearly guaranteed!

I took Sarah to see the first two the day they came out. Far better than I expected, and since we missed Eclipse, I bought her the double disk set for Christmas.

I thoroughly enjoyed all 3, but felt #1 was best and Eclipse right behind. I like Eclipse better than New Moon. But as entertaining as they are, none of these are in a class with the top shelf blockbusters like Avatar.
