It is actually a plastic knee puck that grind down and are replaceable. Just a vibration on your knee is about all you feel. You use it as a gauge so you know how far you are leaned over and not to go too far..

Heck no, haven't ridden on the street in over 2years and don't ever plan on it. Maybe I will get a Harley and cruise around but sportbikes are for the track.
