Thanks bro. I made just about all my furniture in the house, except for the couches. I just could never find anything the right size or style. And the prices some places want are absurd. I can always make something nicer for way less money. Only in my off season though. People ask me to make stuff after they see everything. I enjoy it so why not. I made a table out of an aircraft wing too. I'll have to post a pic of that.

Nice work! Do you use any specialized design software ...or just cut it out the old school way?

Great work! I do stuff like this in my shop too. My wife is always showing me pics of stuff she would like done. I don't mind though. I like the challenge.

I just go off dimensions of the room it's going in, and what's in my mind for
style

Beautiful work!

Damn jealous! I've always wanted to learn how to do woodworking!
I have the perfect space in my house; just don't know where to start.

Tools would be the first step lol. But start with something small like an end table, or a wall mounted bookcase, or bench. I just jumped right in and built a 6 ft hutch my fist try. It came out pretty nice. I have learned more as I go. There are a bunch of free woodworking sites, where you can get plans for lots of stuff. It will definitely help. I'll have to post more pics.

This is a p51 I built for my nephew for his birthday. Took about 2 weeks. Was pretty challenging. Sheet metal, emt for control linkages, steam bending wood, lots of glue, dowels, and PAINT! What a pain it was painting this. But he was the coolest kid on Halloween, I will tell you that. The propeller spins when its pedaled.
