I have hypopituitaryism. I have been on test cip, for about 9 months and synthroid about 3 months. I feel a lot better than in the past, but still not there. I have tried to talk my doc into putting my on HGH, but he says its too abused. My GH is a little low, but not severe.
I have been trying to find a way to buy hgh, but over the internet, its buco bucks. I checked with the antiaging places and they will sell it for about $900 a month. Unfortunately I'm not a rich guy.
I have been reading the posts on the forum, but only getting confused. I have been thinking about going to a peptide to take the place of hgh (cheaper and easier to get). Problem there is, do the peptides work when the pituitary is barely kicking out hg as it is?
I'm on 150mg test weekly (body had none before starting, so that isn't on top of normal body test, that's all of it). 25mcg of synthroid. Gonna fire my endocrinologist, not all my tests are normal yet and I still don't feel right. He told me to go to a psycologist.
So, after all that, whats your thoughts about hgh vs peptides?
Sorry for my ignorance, but I have been looking for thoughts on the forum, but just confusing myself.
By the way, I used to powerlift 28 years ago and I still workout when possible. Problem I have is slow recovery, muscle pain, tendon pain, and slow recovery. lol.
I watch my diet close, lost of veggies and fruit, some chicken, but still have the belly fat thing going and an underarm bag hanging there. I am 62, looking for help. Thoughts? Thanks

I don't think gh is a good idea in your case. If there is a tumor(s) or something caused by your disease, gh will increase it's size over time.

I'm not really qualified to answer this stuff and will be just guessing...

Good point. But an MRI could rule out a tumor and then hgh maybe some help, but as Shovel said I'm not qualified either.

Understand your not qualified to diagnose, NP. I have already had the MRI and there is no tumor. Endo says I have to do drugs the rest of my life, might as well try to figure out how to take the ones I think will help improve my situation. He said there are times when a pituitary will just quit functioning or mostly quit. Thanks for your comments.

We can definitely help with dosage and different "medications" that will get you to a specific goal you have.

As for gh, the cost and effectiveness for me isn't good. My wife seems to do okay with it though. She's just trying to stay young and healthy.

Thanks guys, shovel, your wife doesn't want you young and healthy?? lol I'll keep the search going. Apprecaite your input.
