Input Please

If i could have everyones input i would greatly appriciate it

Well my girlfreind works for a bank and lately one of the loan officers has been making comments to her which are not work appropriate. The one day he told her that "she belonged on the corner" because her boots were to tall. By no means does my girl freind dress like a whore. She had the boots on with a set of carpi's which came to her ankles.

Anyhow today he asked her to be the contact person for computer issues even though she knows nothing about them, but she won't say no to him in fear of loosing her job. . She won't make a complaint about what he says to her for the same reason. He has made many degrading comments to her that is just the most recent one. It seems like the guy just picks on her to do shit no-one else wants to do, but she can't say no

What do you guys think i should do, should i make an anonymous complaint to get this asshole to stop?

Should i just let her kept getting walked all over by this guy??


Any input would help

Just asking what would you do if this was your wife or gf?

I want to say that he makes comments to other girls like this as well, but she seems to get the brunt of it, im not sure if any other complaints have been made.

But it affects her enough that she comes home up set about the whole thing
 
I would go EEO complaint. That will stop anyone FAST. When you file one the shit hits the fan.
 
i filed one within the company so we will see what comes of it

Were his other comments worse than this? All depends on what you want out of this. You could prob get him fired, but i don't think you could get a monetary settlement. Mostly i heard you have to actually find the guy doing some kind of sexual harrasment type stuff like grabbing her or something. Also depends if these co-workers will stand behind her in her complaints.
 
I need anger management, so Im probably not the best to give you advice. I had this happen and called the guy at home. I then called human resourses and his department director . Needless to say it didnt happen again.

Good thing you filed a complaint. What will probably happen is he will get "talked too" by his superior. For a 1st complaint he most likely won't lose his job. but your girlfriend should be secure in knowing that she can't get fired for making a complaint... If she lost her job because of it, even in a round about way, then she could go after the company... Tell her to hold her own, no one should come home from work upset over some dickhead in the office... Work sucks as it is!! I wish her the best, I know it's got to be tough seeing her upset. You're the man for caring! :)

I do care about her a lot and it pissed me off that she was coming home upset becuase some dick thought it was ok to talk down to her at work

I told her that but she says he is my boss and i can't say no to him i don't want to loose my job, so im not sure if it how he acts around her or not.

Either way i talked to her today and she said he has been acting really strange, and i guess not saying much to anyone.

So hopefully they had a nice talk with him and it got his attention
 
As for JoeyZ i flipped at first i told her i was gona call him at work and she was so worried she begged me not to. So i didn't and im glad i didn't i think taking this approarch was the better way to go. If it starts up again im going to the EEOC and make it a federal matter.
