doesnt look like his legs are really coming back. CAn't really see any sweep and he is still hiding them. I hope I'm wrong. Aging sucks.

is that as deep as you all go on leg press?

Of course I don't go near as heavy but I'd only be working my scar tissue like that

I agree they look small. Makes no sense with all the heavy ass squatting he's put in past year. I don't know why I still have legs then haha. I haven't squatted in 15 years, can only leg press that weight he did for 15 - 20. Don't get me wrong, I obviously don't have Olympia caliber legs haha but they match my upper body pretty well. I did a rare tape measurement on them 2 months back when they were pumped on leg day and they were 28". Maybe bcoz I never took a 13 year break like him I dunno. Also I've never skimped on leg day, I'm always wobbling out of the gym.

I DID however take a break from the iron in 2011 (I was 47) when I had a bigtime autoimmune flare up - didn't do anything for 6 months, ate like prolly 2000 cals ed and shrunk down to 218 - the lightest I'd been since 18 y.o. I didn't measure my quads but I'd guesstimate maybe 24ish then, and they came back after lifting for about 4 months.

I don'tknow what's up with his legs. Probably his weak body part. Most guys lose leg size with age. Just look at any over 50 masters division pics. Seems it's the way of all flesh eventually.

A bunch of the old farts who compete at other sites are saying it's just his age and that they also lost their quad sweep as they got older into their 40's. They say it never comes back, unfortunately. I'm sure it's also the fact that they are standing next to younger freaks, and when they are in the gym and the largest ones training, it's probably not evident....well until they line up against the younger freaks like levrone did at the O last year. He probably seen his improvement and thought he was kicking ass, without many others in his gym giving him a run for his money? Possibly, I'm not sure of his gym though, lol.

The way I look at it....if he can't get his legs close to what they were, then it will be hard/impossible for mere mortals like all of us. I know others had better legs back in his day, but his were still ginormous, and he still hasn't matched his own size from that period....or so I'm assuming based off what we see at this point.

For Levrone, if his legs don't come in, it will be his downfall to success. He was definitely top heavy at the O. The good thing is that he's got more time under the bar to give them time to regain size, hopefully. The downfall is that he is another year older as a result, lol.

The guy is an inspiration no matter what happens though. I don't thin any of this stuff ruins his image from the past. I actually respect him going out and trying to accomplish something others are too scared to do. You never know until you try. That said, he was definately out of place on the O stage last year.

Yeah he was out of place but he had better conditioning I could argue. Would have been great if his legs wre even 85% of what they use to be and with that condition. That would have been what all us old guys were waiting for. That would have been truely the 90s versus the 2016s. BTW have you seen Flex Wheeler's latest leg training video? He looks like he can barely get out of the leg press machine. Like he has bad arthritis.

All us old farts sure are rooting for him that's for sure. No matter if he competes or not he's still a great inspiration from the progress he's made in the gym. To an old fukker coming back after over a decade of not training intensely and putting up the #'s he is now is mind boggling imo. When I hit delts in the gym and do my measely Smith pbn with 255 and know another dude out there my age is doing that shit with 405 ignites me haha.
