I just had one hell of a back work out and a huge plate of chicken and veggies with baby red taters...life is good

It makes me realize that if we take one day at a time...do the right things as we see them, then things tend to work out. For me it has..

Yeah we have all made mistakes in life and I have done my share, but those mistakes make you grow in character and they make you better. Sometimes I can't shut off my mind trying to sleep and I think of the things of the bad things I have done and I have to deal with that..But I end up coming to I really believe that people that tend to do good things are rewarded in life for the most part, if they for the most part , do the right things..

What are your thoughts?

I agree 100% brother. My parents taught me that same message growing up. Eventually it will come back around, be it good, or bad. I got a funny story related perfectly. I was in my mid 20's, living down in VA, and it was time to pay the bills. I wanted to pay everything as I was headed back to OH to visit family on vacation for 2 weeks. This was back in the late 80's, and I hated writing checks. So I would go to 7-11, and get money orders to pay the bills. I got right around $1000 worth of money orders, and paid the girl $1000. She handed me back $100 in change. I was in a hurry and didn't think about it until I got to my car - then it hit me. What to do - go in and be honest as I normally would and tell her the mistake, giving the $100 back, OR say fuk it, an extra $100 for vacation! I chose the latter. :at:

I hit the road the next day for the 7 hour drive, and as I get into WVA, here comes Johnny Law. Busted me with a speeding ticket for going 78 in a 65 zone. Ticket ended up being like $220. And there you have it - I tried to get over and got it back 2-fold haha. Many may chalk that up as pure coincidence, but not I. Live and learn!

And I feel ya about having a great workout with a solid healthy meal after - don't get no better!

Indeed life IS good, and I give all the thanks to GOD above. :)

Great post
I do cross country bicycle riding for legs and cardio and whenever I get to the bottom of a long steep hill I don’t look all the way to the top of the hill while I’m pedaling.
I keep my head down to only about 10-15 ft field of view in front of me and then I focus pedaling one crank at a time.
I stay focused on pedaling instead of teaching the hilltop.
Because I already know what my goal is. What I really need to do to make it to the top of that hill is not to look at the top of it and think about how high and far away it is, but to focus on the single steps, one at a time, that are directly in front of my path to the top.
It’s important to know when to focus on the small steps in order to reach that distant goal.
If you stay on course and keep a steady pace you will surely get there.

If have the same philosophy in the gym. I focus in individual reps instead of actually reaching the end of a set.
So many people I see in the gym struggle because they want to achieve a certain goal but they’re too distracted by the pain of it all.
Focus on the individual rep and not reaching the end of the set and you are more likely to actually finish the set.

Makes a lot of sense to me brother, very good post.

I like the one day at a time approach. When you start predicting and getting to far ahead in life there is more to contemplate. One task at a time. I’m not the multi tasking type haha

“One step at a time,” to me is “staying within the realm of posibility,” but I have found in doing so, previously thought impossibilities were surpassed.

100% agree JDUB! Doing the right thing or helping someone makes me feel good. It makes me wonder sometimes if I’m actually doing it for them or for me.
