So yeah I guess thor is the next movie up for production from marvel, and they recently announced an open casting call for the part of thor. This guys name seems to be coming up the most, along with the likes of brad pitt, gerard butler, and carl urban. Id say he definately has them beat on size..hes like 6'6' tall..what do yall think? I think pitts too short, and butlers accent is too thick..but I dunno

it pisses me off when hollywood cast a tiny man in a role designed for a BIG dude . you cant tell me there isnt a full size actor out there to play in these movies.

I agree..like superman and venom for instance. But just imagine how crappy it would be if they had some random bodybuilder dude that couldnt act even for a shoe commercial.. Alot of people say triple H would be good, and I agree he looks almost spot on for the part. But I think personally he would ruin the movie. Its supposed to have a serious, somewhat believable tone even though it takes place in asgard until towards the end.

Maybe they have somebody in mind. I never thought christian bale or heath ledger would be good in their roles but they proved everyone wrong..

ARNOLD resents that comment lol.
most roles like this are the strong silent type and ont require long drawn out dramatic acting.
hell bring in a pot load of guys for a audition , what can it hurt.
dolf lundgreen [ spelling ? ] comes to mind along with the beowolf dude.

How bout Richard Simmons...hes real outgoing and personable...LOL.........Z

So heres the dude that has been confirmed to play Thor. They plan to begin shooting in january and it comes out next summer I believe, along with Spiderman 4 and Green Lantern. His names Chris Hemsworth from Australia. He was Captain Kirks dad in the new star trek movie I think..

Riduculous, nice elevator shoes.
Hey, I have a widow's peak, great smile, and blue eyes, broad shoulders, huge traps, and with 18" calves can actually get away with the ragshort look without props (or synthol injects, ha).
Damn, why can't I be Thor?

There you go again, always being negative. LOL
No, but wish they actually got over to Pennsylvania to have a look at us so we had a chance to be discovered.
Plus, didn't even hear about it, and who would with all the cows mooing around here?

wasnt being negative, just sarcastic :D. I think hell do fine. Everyone thought the guys in 300 were "huge"
