I hate mayweather i hope miguel whoops his cocky ass....Cotto is a hard puncher i dont know if floyd can take his shots....

Same here....i'm hoping for Cotto all the way. I can't stand Mayweather!

I can't stand Mayweather either. I don't like the defensive elusive style he brings. It is extremely effective, but imo it is weak to win matches by running and eluding. Defense is great and a necessity.... you can't just go in and bang, but I can't stand boxers that run away the whole fight. He has his fair share of knockouts, but any good boxers he has gone against it has been all run and score type.

With all that being said, I doubt Cotto will even come close to winning. Cotto is good, but not on that level. I don't know why Mayweather and Pacman don't fight? Running like Tlane stated. Mayweather is waiting for Manny to be on the down trend of his career to go after him. Like he does so often with other fighters.

You are right - Cotto won't lay a glove on him. Not fast enough - Floyd will win easily IMO. But we can always WISH for that one, lucky shot haha! :D

Floyd called Pac's agent in Philippines, and Pac got on the phone. In the conversation, Floyd told him that he wanted more than 50%. That was all she wrote - no go. Along with that Bob Arum says he needs more time to prepare a new temp-stadium to hold 45,000 spectators for the mega-fight and May 5 isn't enough time. Floyd will be in jail starting in June, so. Lastly, Floyd has nobody to guarantee his money.lol Oscar said no way, and he can't find the investors. IMO, this fight will never happen.

Dawg, I had read on that 50% but I thought that was the first hang up a while back and then the second after they reached an agreement on that was the style of blood testing that Floyd wanted Mayweather to do. Then most recently I thought it was something that could happen.

If this is the latest it sounds like they are back at square one. I agree bro, I doubt it will ever happen like you said. Boxing's just become to damn political. Give us the fights that need to happen. oh well.

This is like the last fight keeping boxing in the mix of things.....it frustrates me to no end how this fight, that everybody wants to see, isn't happending. This fight will solidify both fighters career, and ti will be the mega-fight of the decade for sure...maybe bigger.

As a fighter, i'd belicking my chops, just for the challenge alone. If it were me, i'd not even care win or lose, i'd just want to fight the best for the challenge. Both are Hall of famers....heck, if one loses closely, we could always see a second fight.

Gone are the days of Haggler/Leonard/Hearns et al....and the trilogy of fights.

This fight NEEDS to happen, it would be such a tragedy to boxing if it never happened.

BMJ I here ya...

---------
Mayweather offered Pacquiao $40 million with no share from the pay-per-view sales while Pacquiao offered Mayweather $50 million guaranteed, with the winner getting 55 percent of the revenues.

Nothing came out of both offers because Mayweather said he deserves more than what?s being offered to him, and called Pacquiao a ?$10 million fighter? who should be happy with $40 million.

Floyd TALKS like he wants the fight, but his actions as described above only furthermore prove otherwise. They had already initially agreed on a 50/50 split, now Floyd changing the tune again. :wackit:
