Just wondering how many MMA practioners are on this board? Even if you practice traditional martial arts or boxing how many do we have on here?

me and my man RealdealLK fight MMA. He's boxed lhw for about 12 years now. He's a member on here but I haven't seen him on in awhile. I've wrestled for 15 (since I was about 6) years and have trained numerous martial arts for about 12 years. Haven't had fights for about 8 months, (but still train) due to injury though. Have a 2-0 record with the UTF. trained with them from Feb 06-may 06 and was injured severely in june (torn pec, blown sc, trap/lat tear from bench comp and then shot twice at end of sep.) Hopefully start lifting hardcore after full recovery and definately start fighting again. Do you participate in any combat sports??

sorry to hear about the injury that sounds pretty bad, yes I started training in the martial arts when I was 14, trained in Tae Kwon Do for around 10 years, then I trained for about a year in boxing as well as training on my own then I got into MMA about a year ago in Scranton PA (Simrell MMA). I plan on competing sometime within the next year. I did well in TKD competition, very versed in stand-up, just trying to build a solid ground game and see how it goes.

When i lived in vegas I trained and fought for four years.

Ive taken 2 year lay off for personal reasons and im just teaching youth wrestling now.

Count me in. I teach intro to MMA at a local univeristy, and I've been in the ring a time or two.

I was even the Main Event once...
