I bought a motorcycle jacket today.
I wanted a 4X but bought a 3X.
The guy said it should be snug so the pads don't slip. Is this right?
It's a mesh jacket with a waterproof liner.
It's silver. Wasn't sure about silver, but I want to be seen. I like black leather.
My one bike is a 1966 Honda CB450 Super Sport. They called them Black Bombers. I am nearing a 6 Year ground-up restoration. I have been buying parts from around the world for 6 years.
It should be very cool. The tank and frame are black but the fenders and side covers are silver.
The paint looks to be dripping off the fenders as the painter put a bunch of coats of clear on it.
My helmet is silver and open-faced
Then I just bought some Maui Jim Prescription sunglasses.
Anybody wear sunglasses wihile riding?
I got the polycarbonate lenses.
Life is tedious but boring lately. Would like to kick it up a bit.

I wish I could afford one right now. I have been looking heavily at the Victory bikes, and there are some old Triumphs that I like as well. And of course I cant disregard Harleys.

Sweet bike bro. I'm a sales manager at a Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki motorcycle shop so bikes are my thing. I'm assuming you bought the jacket to keep cool also while riding? I have a mesh and a leather jacket. I always ride with the leather when I can because it does offer more protection. Also, the theory of brighter clothes so people can see you and "loud pipes save lives" is really false. If the person doesnt see that bright ass head light, they're not gonna see your jacket, plain and simple. Now the jacket should fit but not too snug. You don't want it to be restrictive. The best thing is to put the jacket on and sit on a bike similar to yours, that way you can make sure that you have full range of motion while riding. Many jackets are uncomfortable to wear walking around but feel great while on a bike because of the way they are cut. Anyway, good luck on your resto and send pics!!!

Cruci, I know you're in the DC area. If there's a Yamaha, Kawasaki, or Honda bike you like. Let me know and I'll hook you up.

I appreciate it, but even if I had the cash to buy a bike right now I would use it toward other things around the house (hardwood floors, granite countertops ect)

I just bought some Oakley frames with the polycarbonate lenses. They are supposedly the best lenses you can get. Durable and more scratch resistant. Maui Jim are very good frames. I almost bought a pair, but i couldnt find a frame i liked.

The jacket actually fit like a glove. I just went for it. I would like to get a vanson leather jacket. Oh, then straight pipes it is (right after I get it inspected, HA!)
Mick-G, I've been wearing Maui Jim's for 14 years.
The only frame I like is called typhoon.
I broke the lens last fall and when I got prescription glasses in December I just had the new ones done in script.
Gotta accept getting old responsibly. You know that!

I know the feeling, i am looking at putting in blue pearl large flake countertops.

you should sand that bitch down and buff it up a little..be in mint codition if the paint is good

Most parts were bead blasted before paint, these include: frame, fenders, side covers, starter cover, fork down tubes and headlight ears, tank, etc
He polished the lower forks so well the aluminum looks like chrome.
Literally hundreds of new parts.
