As far as I know, I'm of Chinese descent. Grew up in New York City, with immigrant parents, so I spoke it at home as I was growing up, and learned English in school. So I have the Chinese vocabulary of a ten year old. I can't read or write it, AT ALL.
Would be nice to be able to contact the Raw powder guys in China and tell them exactly what I want, lol. It's a pain in the ass for me as it is for you guys.
I've visited relatives in China, and would always get rude dirty looks from the Customs Officers before they tossed my US Passport back to me.
i was TOLD i have an 1/8th german ancestry (or one of those Nordic countries)..... but I totally can't see it.
I have facial features like a flatter nose and wider nostrils that resemble some phillipinos. My entire family is like 5'5"...... my dad was 6'2", I'm 6 feet. maybe Grandma was getting some on the side. Who the hell knows, China is a huge country and people move around all the time looking for work or a better life.
Culturally..... I grew up in NYC which shaped who I am...... Rich White kids on the Upper East Side, Hood Black guys from Harlem, Hispanic guys from the Lower east side, Blue collar Irish and Italian guys from Brooklyn, and Chinese American people.
I wouldn't trade my experience for ANYTHING.
I've never even met lower-income blue-collar white folks from the south until I joined the military. Like that Southern Drawl....I've only seen it on TV. It's weird, I thought I'd experience a lot of racism, but these are some of my best friends till this day, and for 4 years, this was my family.
But Phenotypically, I'm definitely East Asian.
