my gross story about detour bars...

this is a true story!

so i'm at work on friday and kind of hungry. i go downstairs in my building to the health food store.

i grab 2 detour bars on sale for $2.99 (CDN). go back upstairs and start munching on one of the bars...

i notice this bug on my desk out of the corner of my eye, its a moth. so i kill it and think to myself i wonder where the hell that came from. took one more bite and then it clicked, maybe i should look at what i'm eating.

i look in the wrapper which still has most of the bar in it and there?s like little cob webs all over it. i nearly yakked right there.

i'm not really an ass so i just threw it out and thought a bug just go into that package... wrong!

today i open the other bar (looked before i ate this time) and it had the same kinda cob web shit in it, but even more then the first one! so i took it back to the store where they immediatly yanked their supply of detours off the shelf.

moral of the story, look before you bite...

lol.....I would call the company and tell them to give you other supplements for free or you will post pics and your story on the internet..lol
 
maybe i'll do that. i like free stuff. i think it was the stores fault though. maybe the way they were storing them?

URA just write them a letter tell them you are a powerful influential figure within the body building industry and then lay your story on them. ((I?m curious as to what you would get?we could make this a project.)) If they don?t respond quickly enough then we could all individually write them a letter asking about the incident. OH MY GAWD stop me ????LOL:uh-huh:

lmao. nice. free detour bars for all! maybe i will, i'll post the letter here.
 
Owwww. I ate one today and I dont even think that I ever looked at it. I hope moths have protein in them.
 
Maybe the moth was caught in the cob webs, had you looked further you may have found a spider. I always keep my detour bars in the fridge so that the bugs inside the warppers are less viable when I open the bar.
 
just adds more flavor bro--hey might have upped the protein contant aswell--lol
