I'm sitting here at an internet cafe that reeks of cigarettes with a glass bottle of coca-cola that costs me about 20 US cents, and internet access that costs me about 50 US cents an hour. Food is fucking awesome and cheap as hell too. BUT...
I've got about 7 more days to go AND I CAN'T WAIT to GET THE FUCK OUTTA HERE. The city I am staying in has streets and alleys that look third world country housing... like the block I am living in... but walk three blocks away and you will find a GIGANTIC futuristic mall with a mcdonalds.
But most of the city still looks like shit with beat up buildings, crazy traffic, and disgusting pollution.
But to hang out at a small beat up looking noodle shop, sitting on an old ass stool, having a meal with a few beers for less than 1.5 US dollars is something that feels pretty fuckin awesome, but at the same time, a wakeup call for me to realize how much stuff i take for granted at home.
Oh yea, I asked around where I can find some dog to eat, hahahah.... people looked at me with the most disgusted look like "you sick fuck"..... i was shocked, heheh
I dont remember the last time I had to squat down to take a shit, but thats how most of the toilets here are. I wake up every morning to have coffee at the mcdonalds so I can use a proper toilet and have proper air conditioning. hahah
I dont know exactly what the point of this rant is... but I do know that even though I am of chiense descent... I was born in the US and I'M FUCKING PROUD to be an AMERICAN.
