Need some input (this is serious)

I have a friend that about four days ago felt one foot going numb and then a day later the next foot go numb and now he can't move either of them. He is able to walk but he has to walk almost like he is marching. He has been to some doctors and specialist but they don't seem to know what could be wrong with him. Do any of you have any clue what this could be.

Have the doctors ran any tests?

Is his whole foot numb, or just certain spots?

Did he do anything in the few previous days that could have caused this?

Are his legs fine (no numbness)?

That's how Guillian-Barre' syndrome begins to manifest itself. If it is GBS the sooner treatment is recieved the better.

There might be some swelling around his siatic(sp) nerve in his spine cutting off circulation to some areas or his could have pinched it. Just a thought!

Both of his feet are numb(completly) His legs are fine. He did not do anything prior. Thanx for the input.
