Classic era physiques HAD muscle. Arnold, Lou, Robby, Franco, Sergio, Serge, Padilla, Corney, Menzter - these were the best physiques of that era and would NOT qualify based on those lame weight restrictions pfft. I mean cmon - classical doesn't mean skinny by any means. Zane himself would BARELY make weight based on these standards. What I see happening in this is we will see many physiques with VERY underdeveloped quads/hams. You will see guys focusing on small waists, V taper, delts, arms & chicken legs. And guys with big bone structures will be out completely. Hell I haven't weighed 207 since I was 17.lol Like I said, right idea, but way overboard with the application.
Perhaps since this is just the beginning stages, they will alter it to be more realistic in the future. What I would have liked to see more than this, is to just bring back the vacuum in bodybuilding, and make it really count. You can't do a vacuum, then you don't fucking even place - period. In order for that to happen, the GH & slin will have to be dramatically reduced/stopped, which will bring down the freakish size a bit also. I think this could bring bodybuilding more mainstream again as it was headed in the 80's. Who remembers Cory Everson, Rick Valente & Shawn and crew on ESPN regularly showing everyone how to get buff? Haven't seen that in a couple decades - would like to see that type of thing come back.
